| | Before school, I did 2 miles on the elliptical while studying physics. I need to get back into that again because today it actually was a bit hard. So today at track practice we had a speed work out. So we started with the usual half mile as a team then the stretching. Today Ben actually came to practice so he was yelling at us during the stretching. So then the groups broke up to our groups. So my group started with 4 strides of total sprints, the 2 with our arms down then using them heavily, then finally accelerating and we did 4 of those. And today, one of Tony's athletes from the University of Utah came today to pace us, his name was Ely or something. So then we did the work out. It was 3 1200s. It sucked. So my first one, on the first lap about 200 meters into it my airway closed up or I swallowed a bug or something but I couldn't breathe so I stopped and rested that one out. But I did another 400 later and my first one was 70 and the second one was 71 which is on pace. Then we stopped and stretched and did the second 1200. This time since everyone did it way slow, Tony had us to it Fireman so I went first, then Ricky, then Ely, then Hussein, then Tomy. So we were just trying to come in under 5 minutes, I hoped we would other wise we would be going way slow. So we went in on the first lap at 71 seconds, I didn't hear the 800 split but I could tell we were picking it up. Our final time was 4:22. By the time we were towards the end we were basically sprinting as the recovery and then going even faster when it was our turn to run. Then we took a water break because it was really hot today. So then Tony changed up the work out again. Instead he had us do a lap recovery and get water. Then we did sprint a 200 jog a 200 and we did 2 laps of that. But our times had to be 35 seconds or under. My times were 33 and 34. I felt good on those and I could breathe way better so I could open up my strides more. Then we did a 400. By this time I was exhausted. My 400 time was 76 seconds which is slow but overall I did everything under a 5 minute mile which is what I was going for for every workout. Then we did 6 strides bare foot on the grass at about 60 percent total speed. Then we were at a little less that 4.75 so I did a mile and a half for 5.25 for today. Then Scott had to talk to me about stuff so as I was doing my crunches, push ups, and planks he was telling and talking to me about things. Then I came home and did my arm swings, leg lifts, and wall sits. Then I did some stretching before I did some major lifting helping my mom do some gardening work. Carrying that bag of chicken poop is very heavy :) |

| | Today since tomorrow is a race, we had a very easy work out. So I started with the usual 2 laps warm up as a team. Then we did the group stretching. Then we broke up into our groups. So I did then 6 strides. First 2 was all out, second 2 was arms down, the last 2 was accelerating. Then tony had me pace Tomy on his 600 by going out way fast and sticking with him and pushing him on the first lap of his 600. I did so and my time was 62 seconds which is a new 400 meter PR for me. Then I did a mile and a half cool down. |

Stansbury Tri meet (1.5 Miles) 00:00:00 | | Today was a Tri meet at Stansbury. So since me, Dakota, and Caden was doing Shot Put and Javelin today I couldn't do that good of a warm up. So when caden and i were waiting in line to do Shot Put we were jogging around to get a little warm up and it was about a 1.5 mile warm up then. Then we went back to the mile starting line and did strides till we lined up. The girls went first so I could jog a bit more then. But I did not get a warm up at all. So my first lap was about 76 seconds, 800= 2:42, 1200= ? and overall time sucked which was 5:33. That is 5 seconds slower than at the Taylorsville Invitational. So then I went and did Shot put and threw it 19 feet 11 inches. Thats almost a 4 foot PR from last year. Then I did a half mile warm up for the 800 and taht was good because then I did the drills and then stretching,. My first lap was 76 and then my overall time was 2:31 so I pciked up a bit on that lap. Then I did a mile cool donw by running to shot put again but they wouldn't let me throw because it was already finals and that is the same for javelin:( Oh well there is always JV regions. Then we went to my cousins and ate dinner. Oh well it was a horible race, I dont know why, maybe the heat, no warm up, my very tired legs. Oh well........:( |

| | Today is the BYU outdoor invitational. so i did a mile on my own doing some loop thing then i saw abigail doing strides so i was doing grass laps around whattevee that grass thing was and it was about a halff mile. then i did a mile with josephine warming her up. then i did another mile loop all by myselff. then i did about a half mile wit5h abigail spying on susannah and ben:) then i did a mile when i got home |

| | Today was the BYU invitational again for the sedond day. so i did a mile warming victoria and jasmine. then i did the mile loop that i did yesterday 4 times. it sucked because when i got to the grass place that i met up with abigail yesterday i did a lap around that every time that i passed it to make sure that it was at least one mile. then i walked to panda express with scott, delaney, abigail, and i and that was about a mile till abigail and i used our training skill from tomy to hop a fence:) |

| | Today was a easy workout because region is on wednesday and Thursday. So a half mile with the team, stretching, then drills. Then another half mile warm up for a total of one mile warm up then a 300 and 4 200s while jogging a 200. Then I did a 2.5 mile cool down then got a brilliant idea with Dakota:) |

| | Today was a even easier workout because tomorrow and the day after tomorrow is Track Regions 2011!!!! So we did the usual 2 track laps as a team then stretching and drills. Then my group did another half mile of warm up then we did 4 100 strides on the far end of the track while arguing with Tomy. It was fun because I won:) Then we did a timed 400 and mine was OK fast but I wished it to be faster. My 400 time today was 64 seconds. Oh well. Then I came home and did my core, and weights. |

Region Track 2011 (1 Miles) 00:05:33, Place overall: 24, Place in age division: 5 | | Today is Region Track 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I wanted to be really warmed up. Caden and I went on 4 intervals each 20 minutes apart until our 1600 meter race started as a warm up. Each interval was around a 800. Depends on if we had to dodge the hurdles:) So the race officials lined us up and Chester was wearing a bracelet so they had to cut off the bracelet and the officials then gave us a warning. Oh well. So the gun went off and for this race my goal was to start out fast and stay with the leaders for the first 2 laps. So when the gun went off I went right out there and got up to the lead pack, and I stayed with them. Our first lap was around a 73 or a 74 second lap. Then the half mile time was a 2:36, this is where I started to loose it, not Physically but Mentally. I started to slow down the second that some Tooele kid passed me, I didn't fight him or try to stay with him, I just let him go then everyone started to pass me . My overall time was a 5:33 which is what I did last week at the Tri meet at Stansbury. This sucks. Then I did a 2 mile cool down with Dakota in shame because even Dakota beat me. Then I came home and I did my crunches, push ups, planks, wall sits, machine weights, and weighted and non weighted arm swings. But on the bus coming home from Stansbury we played Truth or Dare:)))))) |

| | I dont think I am going to hit my initial mileage for this week. Oh well. So I didn't think I was going to race today at Regions again because I was going to first off race Cadens 2 mile because he was not going to be there and I thought I should do the 3200 at least once this season. But I couldn't because Bill wouldn't let me. Then 10 minutes Prior to the 4X800 Matheson comes up to Me, Dakota, Ricky, and Aaron Kutler and tells us that we are all doing the 4x8000. So we quickly do a half mile warm up, strides, stretching, and drills because Dakota and I were laying there all day eating crap and tanning. So we were probably going to puke. But we didn't. So the girls go and Aaron is not at the starting line yet and the girls are done, The boys are being lined up and Aaron isn't even changed. So he quickly strips in the stands and runs down but by this time the gun went off and we missed the start because he was our start and they wouldn't let us start with only 3 people at the starting line. That made Matheson Furious at the officials. But it was probably for the best because Dakota was injured and we had major sunburns on our backs and we couldn't move our arms. I will have a great tan on my back in a few days though::::))))) | Add Comment |

| | Today I decided to go on a shake out run. I started at my house and ran down to Sugar House Park. Then I went into the park and did a lap in there. Every pole I did speed changes. So I sprinted from one pole to another then I jogged from that pole to the next throughout the entire lap. I havn't done any running speed on hills in a long time so it was actually tiring me out. So I decided to call it a day at that and I ran home. Then Hopefully later tonight I will do my crunches, push ups, squats, weights, and planks because right now I am going to watch the new Little Red Riding Hood movie:) |

AM: I have started up again going on the elliptical and studying physics again now that my APHUG test is done. Thank goodness PM:
Today at track practice it was a easy workout because Tomorrow we have a meet. So it was a half mile warm up with the team then the stretching circle with drills. Then we broke up into our groups. So my group did 6 strides. First 2 were full on sprints, then we did 2 with our arms down for a 50 then strong arms for another 50 and the last 2 were accelerating as a group then a total sprint when we got to Tony. Then we all did a 200 stride. Then since Hussein has State in the Medley this Friday we decided to pace him in a 600 hoping to get him under a 59 second first lap because that is what the boys at state are going to be running. So Tomy ran with him the first 200 meters and ran the second 200 with us, when Hussein passed the first 200 meter mark I joined in and ran with him till the finish line. So Tomy and I both ran a 400 but we ran together in the middle 200. The girls started at the 300 meter start and paced him for a 200 meter also. I decided we were going to slow so I said lets pick it up Hussein but he couldn't go any faster, Tomy had him going at a way to fast first 200. My 400 time was a 64 and Hussein's lap when I was running with him was a 70 and Tomy had him at a 65 first lap for him. So Hussein did about a 68 pace which is slower than what he did at regions. So then Tomy and I did a mile cool down and called it 2 for the day. It was actually 2.5 miles and a 200 but I dont care. It is too much math trying to figure out the exact distance of what is going on. I hope I do good at the meet tomorrow. It is my last chance to break 5:15 in the 1600 Meter. Then when I came home I did a 15 minute ice bath while I was texting Dakota about our plans on Saturday and Friday.

Today at track practice we were supposed to have the JV regions meet but Bountiful cancelled it for no apparant reason. So as a team we did the usual two laps as a warm up then stretching. Then I went with Bills group on a 2 mile loop up to foothill over to the VA hospital then back to gaurdsman and back to the track. Then we did 2 300s while jogging the 100 then i did a half mile cool down. then I went home and did my weights, core, wall sits, crunches, push ups, and weighted arm swings. |

| | Today at track practice we Suzette and I got out of TAing for matheson early so we got the work out for Tony. So we did a mile warm up then stretching then 8 strides. then we did 4 200s of jogging a 200 after a 200 on. So it was like speed changes but with 200s. Then I did a mile cool down while Suzette only did a half mile. The 200s were only supposed to be at about 75 percent so it wasnt a hard workout at all. I didnt do my core today because I got home to late. |

| | Today we had practice at the commons for no apparent reason. so we didnt do the two laps and stretching. instead we talked about state that is tomorrow, because state is tomorrow we have a easy workout. so me, dakota, chester, and tomy all went on Bills run for once haha. so we went out of the school into the teachers parking lot up to 13th over on 13th to the cemetary across the street from the U football stadium. we entered the cemetary and did 2 laps but since tomys garmin didnt have service till the start of the hill in the cemetary we just decided to run 3.5 miles in the cmetary then go back and see where were at then. chester immediately started to fall behind but we made him sprint up to us and keep up with us. it was a good run for him. so by the time we got back to the school we were at 2.5 so we did laps around the school until we hit 3.5. but since we didnt have service till the bottom of the hill, im counting that as a mile so we really did 4.5. It was a fun run. |

| | Today was the first day back at training for Cross Country practice. So we did the half mile warm up as a team then dynamic stretching. No stretching circle:( So Bill told us since it was the first day back it wouldn't be a hard workout today, which it wasn't. We did another half mile warm up then 2 miles of speed changes. My first I did with Tomy but then we stopped and got water half way through. Then the second mile of speed changes I did was with Dakota. After every mile we alternated the way we were running so we did run in the same direction for 16 laps. Then we just did a mile cool down. I did mine with Amanda, we had to do about 200 meters more because she had a garmin and it didn't say we were at a mile yet. Then I came home and did my arm weights, no leg weights today because supposedly tomorrow is JV regions and I want to do good at that:).................................................................. IN SHOT PUT AND JAVELIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

JV regions 2011 (1 Miles) 00:05:41, Place overall: 12, Place in age division: 12 | | Today was the JV regions over at Bountiful High School. I really wanted to do good so I was really going to push it. So I didnt get a very good warm up because the coaches never got us a bus so we had to bus pool with Highland. That was actually really fun. So I did a mile warm up with Caden then we sprinted to the bathrooms and then sprinted back and did drills, strides, and stretching. So then they called us to the line and we all lined up. So I got a pretty good place, I in lane one and on the front line. So I got out way fast for the first 200 meters but then I got boxed in so the second 200 was way slow. My first 400 was about at a 76 pace, which is way slow even for me. So then I was boxed in for the next 2 laps, I couldnt break out of it, they just kept moving everywhere I was and it was ticking me off. So on the last lap I just progressively kept getting faster and I didnt care, I just ran on the outside of the curve so that I could pass them, which I did. But my overall time was way bad. It was a 5:41 and I really wanted to PR today. I was way dead after that. So then I went over to the stands and I saw my mom and dad and they gave me some gatorade. So then Caden and I went over to the starting line again but this time it was for the 800 and I really wanted to do better at this this time. So we did strides and some stretching, while watching Chester be a perve and an annoying one at that groping Tania. It was sooooooooooooo annoying. So they called us up to the starting line and this time I was in lane 2 which is still OK. So the gun went off and the pace was set at quite a speedy pace for the first lap. We did a 67 first lap but it felt like it was a ton faster than that. So I was in 3rd place for the entire race except on the last 200 meters some Bountiful kid passed me so I stuck to him and we were sprinting it out at the last 100 meters and he passed me and beat me by .01 of a second. It made me furious. So then I was way dead. Bill wanted to make a 4X400 team so I ran inside the school and I did my cool down in the school. I did about a mile in the school with Josephine, Ricky, Javier, and I. Just by jogging along in the hallways. We got so lost in that school, it is so hard to find my way around that place..... DANG. So then we went up to the dance room and watched Josephine dance, but they had a few treadmills in that room so I did a half mile on that at a way fast pace. But I didnt care because there treadmills were way dope,,,,,, They had fans on them! It was way nice. Overall it was a way miserable day today. I didnt feel good at all from the beginning to the end. |

Today I went on my own run because Tomy and I had National Honor Society. So I went out from my house .5 miles so just passed 21st south then I came back. I took it pretty fast. I wanted to get home and watch American Idol:)

| | Today for my first Cross Country practice of the season, it was just a run. I used it as a tempo run and stayed with RJ and Dylan for half of it because it was actually supposed to be a 8 mile run but I didnt have time to do the full 8 so I had to turn back at 3.1. So the run was, was the running of the leopards 5K course backwards. So we exit the track, I immediately speed up to RJ and Dylan because they start to break away from the group. So we went up Sunnyside Avenue up until we get to foothill. Then we go on foothill until the first light, I think the streets name is Wakara. So we go up that, turn right on some random street and then we turn left back onto Sunnyside. We stay on Sunnyside for about a fourth of a mile then we turn into the This is the Place monument. We are in there for the rest of the run. So |

| | Today since we dont have school, because of Memorial Weekend...... YAY I did a work out on my own. I had to mow my lawn and my 2 grandmas lawn in the morning so I couldnt go running in the morning. So when I went to Liberty park I met up with Michelle there and we did 2 miles of going around on the outer trail of the park. We did this because we were already at the park because of the Peer Court end of the year BBQ |

| | So this morning I went over to Dakotas house because we were going Hiking with Tania and some other people. So Josephine slept in so she couldnt come so it was really only Tania, me and Dakota. So we went on the trail hike but it was actually a hike not a run so I jogged at walking pace while they walked it so I could count it as some mileage:) yay for me. So then I left Dakotas after a few miles hiking and finding a ******* spot and a HOBO house:) Then I came over to my grandmas house and I did 5 miles while my cousins who came into town from Colorado Springs, Colorado and my family were putting up the back yard furniture at my grandmas house. They drove a ten hour drive in eight hours, ahh scary!.!!!!!!!! So I went up her street until the top, then I turned left and went to my mothers elementary school. So I did a lap around that which is about a half mile so in total I have done about 1 mile. Then I left that and went to the free way right next to Skyline High School. Then I turned around and went along some street and went straight on this mysterious street until I hit somewhere that I recognized. Then I went down and this took me to the elementary school again so I did another lap around that and then came home. It was a pretty easy workout throughout the day because the hiking was a blast. Thank you Cobler family for letting us go hiking. And the adventure run that I went on today was way fun and way hilly. I think I am getting stronger because the hills didnt bother me at all. I am going to have a great Cross Country season this year if I continue to work as hard as I am now and the runs that I am doing now keep consistent to keep up the muscle build up for my legs. |

| | So today for XC practice it was supposed to be only about a four mile day. Which it wasn't at all. So we started by running from east track down to 13th east and along that until about 17th south. We went along 17 south until we got down to 9th east or some street close to that. By this time Tomy Susannah and I broke away from the group a little so we couldn't hear what they were yelling at us to turn so we were just guessing. So then from 9th we went on that until we got to 21st south. We stayed on 21st south until we turn on some side street and went into Fairmont Park In Fairmont Park we stretched while waiting for the rest of the group to get to the park. When everyone was there we did 10 100 meter strides. I did them all progressively getting faster. So my first one was my slowest and my last one was my fastest. I felt way good all through the strides and running there. Going back is a different story. So we left the park and I started to feel sick so I slowed down a bit. I was watching to see where Bill turns but I didn't see the exact street where he turned so I went from Fairmont Park until 9th and 9th. I guess they turned on another street so they didn't have to go up that hill, but I didn't:) So about halfway up the hill I met up with Jared and we ran the rest of the way up the hill with me. We progressively got faster up the hill to get some strength work in for today. So we met up with the rest of the group on 13th east but we didn't want to wait for the light so we turned on the street that East is on and we went up on 8th south instead of 9th south. Then we ran back up to the track and got back at the same time as everyone else. When I got home I was at 6.5 miles and I wanted even mileage so I did a half mile on my own. I ran from my house a little bit past 21st south and turned back and came back the same way so I could have 7 miles for the day. |
