Race: Bountiful Tri Meet (2.7 Miles) 00:19:25, Place in age division: 9
Total Distance
8.00

Today was a tri meet against Bountiful and Woods Cross. So we did the whole course as a warm up. The course was really hilly. So Bill told the top 10 Varsity runners to stay as a pack and run a 7 minute pace for them. So after the warm up we go to the line and start. So we all start out as a pack and right on pace. For the first mile all top 10 people are there. But then the top guys start picking it up so we start breaking away from eachother. I didn't care who beat me in this race because it was just a tempo race and I was on pace the whole time, thats all I cared about. So after that Jesse and I did a mile cooldown running to the bathrooms and then the whole team did another mile cooldown to do 2 miles cooldown. Here is my Warm up then the race Garmin Links:

We didn't pick it up Patrick. In fact, we slowed down from mile one to mile two. Mile two was a 6:56, exactly what we were supposed to hit. Your split for mile two was about 40 sec slow. Just stick with the pack man. It is a ton easier to run with a group than by yourself.
