Today at track practice we just did a good steady paced fun run. I went out slow because I wanted to make sure that I could go the entire run non stop, which I did. We did the Shriners Drinking Fountain run. I ran there with some friends at a rather slow pace so when I got to the drinking fountain ahead of them, because they walked up the big hill and I ran up it, I waited for them then I decided that I felt really good so I decided to go back really pushing it as if it was a race. I did the last 2.5 miles at 15 minutes something seconds which is a new PR for me. I felt really good today so I really pushed on those last few miles. Before the run we did 8 100 strides with the rest of the team back at the school. I did those way fast, I was really pushing it, We had to do those with high knees and good strong arms. After the run I came home and did some weights on my legs, crunches, and pushups. While watching the XC slideshow!!!!!!!! |
