Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

1 mile warm up. Mile repeats x4 with 1/2 mile recovery in between. The goal for the repeats was 6:37. Actual repeats were 6:39, 6:31, 6:36, 6:32. That's what I for doing this in the dark. I have a hard time with pacing when I can't see my watch. I rely on the garmin too much.

1 mile warm up. 9 miles at goal marathon pace (7:25). Actual time was 7:23.

A bug flew in my ear with half a mile left! #weirdestthingever I stopped and tried to dig it out but ended up pushing it in. I could hear it fluttering in my ear. Here's to hoping it comes out soon....So gross.

Aside from the bug thing, I'm pleased with how this felt. The last couple of times I've done a marathon paced workout, it has felt way too hard. Today I actually felt strong.
