| Slow and sluggish today. Close to a 10 min/mile pace. Yesterday I was around 9 min/miles. hmmmm... Riddle me this: what makes some days feel so great and some days feel....notsogreat? I would love to know what it going on physiologically in my body (and maybe mind too?) that makes the difference. |

| Although my actual weight has only gone up about 1/2 pound in the last four weeks, I am definitely getting bigger. Running is becoming more of a chore...Boo. Took a "break" today and ellipticalled it out with the big sis. We had a good therapy session. | Add Comment |

| Dr. Google and I have concluded that I have shin splints. And it hurts. I don't know if its the weight gain with pregnancy? Cuz I certainly haven't increased my mileage or done speed work in the last 7 months. Here's why I think its shin splints: more pain in the morning (it seems to "warm up" as the day goes on), its more of a generalized area than a localized point, I get bad cramps at night in my calves and I'm pretty sure this has tightened them up quite a bit. Sooooo...I'm not running for a few days, stretching, icing, and rolling.....Lets hope I'm right. Elliptical and stair stepper today. 20 mins on each.
