Well, this was one I just wanted to finish.  I have had such a rough year with bursitis in my knee and then running into the pole with the other knee on Labor Day weekend that my training has been minimal.  I was happy to get done in a semi respectable time, although it was the first time I have't placed in my age with was a bummer!  Fitness was a key part to this run.  I noticed that the harder miles were where I slowed down a lot.  I ran with a couple of guys including Chad Robinson for a while at the first, but was mostly on my own.  Never felt bad, just didn't have speed or strength, and basically felt out of shape.  But this was #18 for me, so again, it was good to just finish.  Next year I hope to have a good race.  I just need to get healed and get some miles in.
