| Member Since: Nov 27, 2016 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: I have run 12 marathons, 5 since major surgery in 2005. My fastest was Leipzig in 1992. 3 hours 11 minutes 48 seconds. The Mesa-Phx Marathon on February 25, 2017 was the fastest since my surgery at 4:26:59. Short-Term Running Goals: I want to improve on my last Marathon time. After the Phoenix Marathon that I ran February 25, 2017 I want to focus on shorter races and do a sprint tri. I did improve about 45 minutes faster on the Mesa-Phx Marathon over the last Petrified Forest Marathon and about 27 minutes faster than the last time I ran the Mesa-Phx Marathon. Long-Term Running Goals: Continue to run and work on my speed. Do shorter races and a sprint tri in the next year. Personal: I have been an educator for 32 years. | 53:22 with 10:28 pace. Different course, have only run here once or twice. First 1.5 is up, then mostly flat with a little up to 3 miles. I wasn’t feeling it today. HR 121 with 143 max. 10:55, 10:33, 10:46, 9:55, and 10:07 with 1:05 to finish. I was going to go 6.2 today, but I got nauseous just before 5 so I decided to stop and walk. After one mile the side of the road is large gravel and not conducive to running, especially because parts are also muddy right now. |
