| Member Since: Nov 27, 2016 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: I have run 12 marathons, 5 since major surgery in 2005. My fastest was Leipzig in 1992. 3 hours 11 minutes 48 seconds. The Mesa-Phx Marathon on February 25, 2017 was the fastest since my surgery at 4:26:59. Short-Term Running Goals: I want to improve on my last Marathon time. After the Phoenix Marathon that I ran February 25, 2017 I want to focus on shorter races and do a sprint tri. I did improve about 45 minutes faster on the Mesa-Phx Marathon over the last Petrified Forest Marathon and about 27 minutes faster than the last time I ran the Mesa-Phx Marathon. Long-Term Running Goals: Continue to run and work on my speed. Do shorter races and a sprint tri in the next year. Personal: I have been an educator for 32 years. | AM neighborhood run. 1:01:41 with 9:57 pace. 72 degrees out with slight wind. 10:24, 9:50, 9:44, 9:50, 9:46, and 10:11 with 9:44 pace to finish. HR 127 with max of 139. I was going to take it easy today but after one mile I decided to try and get faster for each mile. Miles 4 and 6 didn’t work out that way but I was close. Very humid out and mostly overcast during the run. |
