| Member Since: Nov 27, 2016 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: I have run 12 marathons, 5 since major surgery in 2005. My fastest was Leipzig in 1992. 3 hours 11 minutes 48 seconds. The Mesa-Phx Marathon on February 25, 2017 was the fastest since my surgery at 4:26:59. Short-Term Running Goals: I want to improve on my last Marathon time. After the Phoenix Marathon that I ran February 25, 2017 I want to focus on shorter races and do a sprint tri. I did improve about 45 minutes faster on the Mesa-Phx Marathon over the last Petrified Forest Marathon and about 27 minutes faster than the last time I ran the Mesa-Phx Marathon. Long-Term Running Goals: Continue to run and work on my speed. Do shorter races and a sprint tri in the next year. Personal: I have been an educator for 32 years. | West Point am run. Was very humid and even hillier than Eagar. Elevation started about 340 feet went down to 204 then up to 372 feet before doing the same backwards and ending the same as the start. I ran a 9:46 and then a 9:48 plus 44 sec. I walked with Elder Goodier around the block when I finished to try and cool down. He is recuperating from double hip surgery’s in the past 6 months. Micah spent some time at West Point and got to know the Goodiers. I haven’t run in the past week but we have walked a lot in NYC. |

| Bentonville AR AM. 9:38 9:33 and 9:49 with 37 seconds. Around 1300 feet elevation. 38 feet between high and low. Very humid and 8:15 AM was almost too late to start. |

| AM Eagar. 20:53 with 10:01 pace. 10:11 and 9:55 plus 47 sec. trying to run flat because my right heel has been hurting. My left knee has been tender on the top. I think because I wore Teva’s most of the time in the boy’s missions and ran in old running shoes. Right heel is always stiff and sore but feels better when I loosen it up and run. |

| AM Eagar. 40:26 with 9:59 pace. 10:26 10:17 9:42 and 9:37 with 24 sec. Hilly course. I am noticing that even when I get to the downhill parts of my course, my cadence doesn’t pick up. Will try to work on that in the coming weeks. My knee pain is gone today after this run. My right heel still is stiff and tender. I need to get some more better shoes. |
