Undertrained half. Ran about as well as I could today, hard when it's almost 20 minutes off my PR and not a PW only because I once ran a half with stomach flu. But I maintained a steady pace of 7:40 plus or minus, and only faded to a 7:52 in the 12th mile when I really didn't know if my right calf was going to cramp or my sciatica was going to seize up my left leg. Neither happened, so I was able to bring it down to a 7:45 last mile and finish respectably in 232nd place out of 3,700+ finishers. I do have to figure out what to do moving forward. It's hard to run so slow but I need to lose weight and work harder to run faster. We'll see.
