Left town at 5:00am for our Young Men High Adventure backpacking trip.  We went to the White Cloud Wilderness.  We hiked in a little over 10 miles with over 3000' of vertical.  We started at 7100' and climbed to 9600' before dropping in the next valley and climbing back up to 8900' at our camp.  My pack was heavier than normal (~50 lbs) due to carrying extra stuff for the group.  I could feel the uphills with the extra weight.

Total 10.00 miles.

We hiked at least 10 miles exploring all the Upper lakes in the Boulder Chain Lakes area.  We even made it all the way up to Lonesome Lake at 10,500' which required a 700' climb up a waterfall.  Awesome scenery and great fishing!

Total 10.00 miles.

We hiked out the 10+ miles back to the vehicles.  We got out almost 2 hours faster than we made it in due to the elevation drop.

Total 10.00 miles.

I finally got someone to go on a long run with me.

I picked up Troy at 5:45 and we drove to the marathon start.  It was a bit warm but we lucked-out because some clouds rolled-in as we approached Inkom and kept it bearable all the way to Century HS.
