It was 64 degrees, some raindrops, and kind of muggy this morning. I needed to drop a car at the airport for someone so I ran 1.22 miles to the car, drove it to the airport, then ran home. The good thing is that I ran absolutely NO downhill and most of the run was pancake flat except for the last 2 miles of uphill to get home. I ran 11.13 miles and the foot is better every day :-)

It was 60 degrees when I left this morning.....70 by the time I got back. It sure heats up fast this time of year. I ran 15.22 miles in a good pace with a few fast miles. My foot is about a 1 on the pain scale....more of a slight annoyance than pain. The only time it bothers me is if the road has a sharp angle to either side.

It was 56 degrees when I left, 63 when I finished with some breezes that felt pretty good. I ran 11.31 miles nice and easy. I finished a bit stronger today and I think I am getting used to higher temperatures. I know the St. George runners would love our temps, but they feel warm to me.

It was 48 degrees this morning......nice and cool. It was in the mid 60's when I got back. I woke up 30 minutes before my alarm nervous like it was a race day. This was my first long run since my injury....and you just never know. I ran 22.76 miles in a steady, but not really fast pace. My foot held up just fine and it is good to know that it can handle a 3 hour run.

It was 56 degrees and windy this morning. I was planing a slow recovery run but I ran in to Barry Smith right after I started and he was running a fast 3 miles down to Golds gym so I ran 3 fast miles with him. I slowed down after that to do the real recovery run. I ran 12.63 miles and was a bit tired after all the yard work I did yesterday trying to get our house looking good for the wedding next month. Yesterday's run let me know that I could probably run OK in the Des News marathon but I have decided to NOT run it. I just worry that if any course could cause a flare-up in my foot it would be that one. That is the only marathon every year that leaves me beat-up for a couple of days due to the steepness of the hills. I have run it 8 straight years but I can get it next year. My next marathon will be in Park City on August 22nd although I have a couple of 10K's before then.

It was 55 degrees with light winds this morning. I wanted to do another longer run today but I was a little tired when I got up this morning. It has been a long week. I managed to force myself out the door and didn't do too bad. I ran 21.62 miles in a better pace than Tuesday's long run. I'm still not all the way back pace-wise where I want to be....but getting closer.

It was 52 degrees and just a bit breezy this morning. I ran 15.58 miles and had a couple of faster miles, even some with 6's in front of them. It still hurts a bit when I push a faster pace so I still need to be careful. I saw Kory at the end of my run and said hi. He was looking fast as ever....

This morning I ran the Pocatello marathon course with Kory and Barry. It was nice and cool on the backside of Buckskin. Barry's leg was bothering him so Kory and I ran ahead. We ran 21.15 miles in a nice, conversational pace. It was great to run with someone else and Kory and I talked the whole way and the miles passed by very quickly.

When I woke up this morning my quads were tight from yesterdays long run with Kory. The first 12 miles or so were a pretty good decline so I could feel it. I had already pre-paid for today's race as part of the city series so I decided to see what my foot could handle in a faster pace. I ran just over 5 miles to the start line in an easy 7:28 pace. I had some time to talk to a few people before the start and got a drink. This course is very hilly with some good climbing the first 2 miles or so and it was a warm day with the sun shining bright. Here are the splits: 1. 6:48 (some flat, then uphill) 2. 7:27 (all uphill) 3. 6:21 (rolling, then downhill) 4. 6:10 (downhill, then flat) 5. 6:40 (flat, then uphill) 6. 6:41 (uphill, then flat) .2 1:19 (6:35 pace) I finished in 6th place overall and did not push really hard, especially after yesterday's run. I feel good about the splits and my foot is just fine. I ran back home to get in 16.27 miles for the day.

It was a nice cool 48 degrees when I left.......70 when I got back. The high desert air heats up quick. I ran 23.15 miles in a nice, steady pace. I almost had to back track after I turned at Indian Hills. There was an electronic sign that said the Cheyenne crossing would be closed from 7:00am to 6:00pm on July 21. I looked at my watch....yup it's the 21st.....and it's 7:30. Luckily they were just getting set-up and I snuck through while they were not paying attention. This happened to me on Memorial Day and I had to run back around the way I came.

| It was 71 degrees this morning and overcast. It drizzled a little rain on me at the end of my run but nothing serious. I ran 14.34 miles. The first half I ran most of them with Bob, so they were slower (around 8:30). I like to run with him periodically as we have great conversations about running. He has run EVERY day for over 30 years. He is 56 now but has a 2:34 marathon PR in his past and is moving towards 100,000 lifetime miles! After Bob finished I stepped on the gas and ran some good tempo miles (sub 7) to finish out the day.

It was 62 degrees this morning. I ran 13.27 miles in a pretty easy pace. I was chased by 2 dogs today but nothing serious. I just realized that I passed my previous all-time yearly mileage total recently. In 2002 I ran 2403 miles for the year and I am now ahead of that.
OK....this was my Monday run, I just put it on the wrong day.
