I made it 7 miles today. But I am unsure that I can actually count that as running. My calf hurt a lot yesterday after the 5k and the 4 miles I ran afterwards. This morning started out as more of a brisk walk with a limp. Then intervals of running and brisk walking. More walking than anything. I am so down. I think I need to see the Dr this week to figure out for sure that it is shin splints in my right leg. I am going to take 3 days off and see if that helps alleviate some of the pain and discomfort. I hope Provo City half is still within reach. If it hurts, I can't say that I think it's wise to try and run it. I'm kind of weepy today over this. But I know if I take time off now, I have a better chance of healing up the problem quicker and UVM half can still be done. I also found a website that said to ice bath dip the leg 10-15 times with a minute break in between each dip. I did that this morning and will do it each day this week. Also I'll ice massage it during the day.
