58 min elliptical. Chatted with Roy (roids) before I left the gym about the nestle 5k. I guess there was around 2,000 runners there. I under guessed how many people ran. Roy ran it in 32 min. Pretty good for a competitive body builder. He's huge.

Came home and ran 4 miles on the river trail. Some teenage punks nearly took me out of this life a 1/2 mile into my run. They blasted through a stop sign and around the corner that little old me happened to be crossing. Those dumb asses.

I didn't want to run far or fast today because my right underfoot hurts. Would you expect anything less from me? Something always hurts on me these days :)   4 miles in 28 minutes.

My training has been kind of unstructured and all over the place the last 3 months since coming back from injury. I decided this weekend it's time to train for the 10k and get a good training program going the next four weeks. I also am interested in trail running the next two weeks to give my legs and feet a softer surface break.

Next race: Freedom run 10k, July 4th Provo. Goal: sub 40

Nice run! Except for the idiot punks. I'd like to race a 10k sometime soon as well.... it will be my first. Fill me in on your 10k training program when you start.

Glad you were able to dodge those little jerks. I've noticed that even when drivers come to a complete stop it's usually not until their bumper is at or in the road well past the sidewalk. There is a good reason they put stop signs BEFORE the sidewalk... Be careful out there. I can't wait to read that 39:xx race report!

(4 miles in 28 is good. not far, but pretty fast)

I like how you put your goals out there.

Sub 40 looks good from this perspective for you! Have you ever run Des News 10K? It is a speedy course! I'd love to see what you could do there - you'd rock it!

Oh, and stupid teenage kids - I'd like to slap 'em most of the time!

Running the trails is feeling so much better on my knees. I hope it helps you. It is so frustrating when things are hurting. I hope it stops soon!
