Not sure if you are to the "I'll try anything point" yet, but have you rolled out trigger points (on your glutes) with a tennis ball. It hurts like a mother, but works.
Have you been to a chiropractor to adjust your hips....I know sometimes if my hips aren't balanced, it can make my glutes get funny/hurt/spasm. Hope you feel better soon!
