Hello fast running blog! I ran 10 miles this morning! I did it, I did it!!  I can't believe it, 2 months is a long time without running.

I woke up this morning so tired and almost didn't go to the gym. When I got there I immediately walked up to the treadmill and stared at it. I feel like something has changed in my body the past week and so I took a little leap of faith and jumped on. I walked for the first 4 minutes to warm up. Then VERY reluctantly I turned up the tread to a 8:45 pace. Slow I know. I felt....nothing. Nothing hurt at all. So I ran that pace for 7 minutes, then I bumped it down to a walk for 2 minutes, then back to a run at a 8:45 pace again. Then 10 minutes later back to a walk. I did this maybe 4 times and decided nothing is hurting or strained, so I bumped it up to a 8:25 pace and pretty much held it there for the next 6 miles. I was seriously so happy. I even teared up a few times in disbelief. Julie came around the 4 mile mark and was shocked to see me running. She ran the rest of the way with me. I never did hurt. I am so happy.  Never take for granted YOU being able to run each day. It is so rewarding and can be such a dark and bleak thing when it's taken away.

I'm back! Run13 races, watch out, here I come!
