Strength training again, random stuff. 32 minutes elliptical.

6.5 outside. Temps were better this morning, not as cold as yesterday. Legs felt a little heavy, but totally understandable since I ran twice yesterday. Creepy things this morning, spotting a big black garbage bag in the weeds near a pasture. Obviously with something in it. I let it creep me out for a minute. Sometimes I am startled by my own shadow in the mornings during my run. Just a few more weeks and the sun will be out even earlier. I generally run 6-7 am, sometimes 5:30 if I need to cover a longer distance. I can't wait for summer though.

avg pace: a slow recovery 8:05

3 more miles I hope this evening. Probably just as slow or slower

pm update- 2 Sloooow miles on very tired legs. I was contemplating being over my track workout tomorrow because of it. Then I looked at Andrea's pm workout. Her track work was on tired legs. If she can I can. I haven't been hurt the last few months...so no excuses. let's do this!

You shouldn't be out running by yourself when it is dark!! Do you have mace??? I just bought a couple of running mace things. You need to get one! I worry about you....just because I worry about CREEPERS! Be careful!

Amy I do run with mace :) it's all good.

Great workout today Lily! There were 5 horses wandering the streets of Payson this morning. Totally freaked me out but luckily it was light out. You are doing awesome with the doubles.

We need to get on the same schedule after Boston so we can run together.

i am afraid of my shadow in the mornings as well. i am also afraid of mailboxes and statues that stick out in the corner of my eye. i'm also afraid of the guy that is always sitting on a bench outside of the sugarhouse jiffy lube.

pepper spray.

good job with the doubles, lily!

I miss two a days. These days my body just doesn't want to do them:( nice workout and running. You rock!!

From Lily on Tue, Apr 10, 2012 at 15:53:58 from 67.199.178.210

I have completely forgotten what two a days feel like. THEY HURT! My legs were a little sluggish last night. I think I am going to take a day in between the two a days. So rest from it tonight, and do a two a day tomorrow. I am pretty sure that's what I used to do. Every other day scenario.....

From Andrea on Tue, Apr 10, 2012 at 19:55:44 from 67.177.21.60

I'm at a point right now where I'm just starting to incorporate them in again. It weird how last fall the two-a-days were easier than longer one-a-days. Right now it just feels hard though! Just a different stimulus, I guess.

Honestly the only thing that kept me going on my workout today was knowing that I was going to be up against some of the best 5k runners in the nation on Sunday! Yikes! As long as I don't look too hobby jogger-ish in comparison, it will be a success.

Good luck on the sppedwork tomorrow!

Thanks Andrea. I think you will do just fine Sunday. Go for it!

Sounds like things are working out nicely for you right now. Love the two a days! You're inspiring me to start doing them again once I'm healthy.

You should have checked that bag to see what was in it. Who knows what treasures you could have found in there :)
