Nebo 1/2 Marathon 2011- 1:19:35- 2nd Overall,  first master. Ogden Marathon 3:14  (2010); 10K 2011 Speedy Spaniard 40:47.  I have run 38 marathons: 16 St. George (1995, 2006-2019, 2024). Utah Valley (2011, 2014), Eiluj (2011), Deseret News (2015: 3:40 pacer  & 2023),  Ogden (2009, 2010), Boston (1996,2012,2014,2018, 2024)Top of Utah (1999, 2011 pacer), and SLC (2006,2015), Pocatello (3:40 pacer 2012),park city marathon 3:41:53 (2013), and Big Cottonwood pacer (2017,2018),  Nebo Marathon 340 pacer (2024)Timp trail marathon (2021) and three Ultras-Squaw Peak 51.25 miler 2010 in 12:05:27 (9th woman) and  Antelope Island  (32 miler) in  March 2011 (4th overall in 5:10:25) and in 2009.

Honestly was not going to run the marathon. I was at work on Friday when Jane texted wondering how she could convince me to come to saint george.  Well  I work to 630  I told her.  But then  I thought why not just drive down after my shift and get there on my injured but not hurting at the moment left hamstring.  So  I did as other options not good I just drove myself straight there. Left at 7:18 from gas station by my house and never stopped til  I got to Green Valley.  Slept in a bed that comes out from the wall. Comfy.  And all made up by Jane and Kim and Chandi.  They were asleep when  I got there at 11pm.  Got in bed at 1140 after eating some left over costco pizza in the fridge.  Then woke at 419 am.  Slept the entire time til then.  Left our building at 450am.  And waited a while for the buses.  The line was long.  We got to the start at 6:40am!!! Supposed to start at 6:45am. I started the race at 6:56.  Hit half way at 1:48 feeling pretty good but I forgot my gu in all my rushing around.  So I stopped at every aide station for water and gatorade.  After mile 15 my calves hurt so bad and the bottoms of my feet.  So I had to walk and jog the rest of the way.  They just would not quit hurting even after asking  random stranger to rub them out.  I did get the icy hot put on them and eventually in the last three miles I stuffed ice cubes in my calf sleeves so  I could actually move a little better and stop constantly needing to walk.  Came in at an astounding 3:55:13.  That is the worst positive split I can even think up for myself especially at saint george!!  2:07 second half.  I guess not bad for walking a lot of it.
