| PM- So running with a bruised or cracked rib is extremely stupid. First, I received 3 shots today for my India trip, so my shoulders are very sore. Then, I decided I could still run and went to Paris Mountain with Aaron and Seth. Right from the start, I felt like I was slowly suffocating- I couldn't breathe quite deep enough, and I certainly couldn't take deep breaths to catch up. But I did ok until about an hour, then gradually slowed. At 1:10, I lost the group, but they waited for me to catch up, though I slowed even more and fell behind again. By this point, any step that jarred me at all hurt my ribs, so I really tensed up. Between the combination of the tense core, unusual shoulder movement, and chest injury, my back suddenly tightened in 2 places and I could barely run. I half walked, half slow-jogged back to the car on the road, hoping to hitchhike. The last 30 minutes was on the short, short list of most miserable experience on a run. No fun at all. I'm sore all over, tired, and can't breath. Anyways, I think I'll take it easy for a few days. Like I said, don't try running with a bruised rib. I think it was around 9.5 miles in 1:50+.
On a good note, I got a solid 8 hours sleep last night for the first time in months, and hope to again tonight, as well.
