Running Accomplishments:

I've been running since junior high. Ran middle distance in college with a PB of 1:52 for the 800 meters, then continued running with varying degrees of seriousness throughout my 20's and 30's. Moved up in distance and even ran three marathons (2:43 PB). Now just trying to stay in shape and find balance in life in my 40's.

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work out 30 minutes a day, six days a week

 

 

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy and consistent.

Married with 3 children. Work as a school counselor.

Canal Banks + BK Track - 38:53

It's been a busy last week, and I haven't run much. Landscape and fence projects have taken most of the time. This evening was a slog, but I got through it. 2.5 miles at the track at about 7:30/mile pace.

Easy pace while watching some "Good Will Hunting." Haven't seen that one in a while. A couple of pickups at the end of the run. Body felt really good today.

Ran pretty easy and did 8 x 100m strides on the soccer field at Bishop Kelly. Felt OK tonight, but getting a bad sore throat.

Military reserve - 1:09

Long run from the YMCA with a group of about 7 runners, including Travis. Great group of people, and we had a nice run on the trails. Felt fine at the end, so I think I can finally start bumping it up a little bit. I think I've been babying myself in fear of injuring my back or losing more feeling in my leg. The reality is that if I increase things slowly and pay attention, I should be fine.
