Ran middle distance in college with a PB of 1:52 for the 800 meters, then continued running with varying degrees of seriousness throughout my 20's and 30's. Moved up in distance and even ran three marathons (2:43 PB). Now just trying to stay in shape and find balance in life in my 40's.

| 12 minutes recumbent bike - 3.2 miles 19 minutes run/walk on treadmill (jogged 9, walked 10) - 1.4 miles Saw the doctor today and got clearance to start running. Only a 5% chance of re-herniating the disc. Foot numbness may be permanent. Surgery and injections are both bad options. P/T may help with education on how to keep back/core safe and strong. |

| Canal Banks - 18:25 My first "real" run in many months. After getting clearance to start running, I did 4 days of some jog/walks of about 20 minutes to ease back into it. Today I ran the whole way. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. For now, it feels great, especially on a nice spring afternoon. Earlier in the day I waked about 2 miles easy on the greenbelt with Emily and Nica. |
