| Ran on the treadmill. Watched Notting Hill and was close to finishing but decided to stay on the treadmill and finish watching it. Had I known that I was that close to 12 miles I would have stayed on and finished. I will be so glad to be back and outside. Ave Pace: 9:00 Happy Running!

| So glad to be back home! Met Paula and ran 4.5 with her and then added on the rest on my own. Felt good but too fast for a Monday. I can tell I have lost a little because my lungs were burning a little at the end. Ave Pace 8:37 Happy Running!

| Met the BBK's for our Parkway Palisades run. It was great to be back together with everyone and always great to run the hills. I had decided that my objective this week is to focus on mileage and getting my mileage back to where it needs to be after the last month of craziness. SO, with that decided I knew that today I could not push hard and just focus on the work out at a more comfortable pace. I tried to pick it up a little on the 2mile hilly tempo but it was not happening at all. It was however a very good progressive run. We got talking about were we were 1 yr ago and that we were on the same schedule this year with a 20 mile run the week before Hobble Creek. It got me thinking that the first time I ran the Parkway Palisades hill was the week of Hobble Creek and I thought I was going to DIE! Nice to know that today was at a comfortable pace and still faster than I was a year ago.

| Met Paula this morning and knew right away I was very dehydrated and sore from yesterday. I had planned on 8 miles but by 4 I decided that 6 would be better because I would have more time to stretch. Working on drinking lots of water. Happy Running!

| Met the BBK's for a tempo run. We warmed up for 3 miles and then began a 6.5 mile tempo run. I had planned on taking it easy but started with Cheryl and was enjoying visiting with her. She took off after a mile and I decided to keep pushing a little and ended up pushing more than I should have but felt really good. Nice to know I haven't lost everything. Cooled down with Michelle M, Cheryl and Alan and we had stood around to long while we were regrouping because the legs were nice and stiff. Ave Pace 8:38 Happy Running!

| I am in St. George for a weekend with family. I met Marcie early and my very nice Father drove us up the marathon route. We started one mile prior to Veyo and then ran down the course. I felt great! I know that I pushed more than I should have for a training run but it is hard to slow down with all the down hill. It definitly boosted my confidence for the marathon. This run was done with an ave pace of 8:04 - 17 seconds faster than my average at last years marathon. I could have easily done more mileage, not sure if I am ready for 26.2 but so excited. Ave Pace 8:04 Happy Running!

| Not really sure how to feel about today. I am very disappointed in my performance but considering the events of this week and all the travel this summer, I am trying to be more positive. I had been out of town Monday and Tuesday and usually run but was completely wiped out. I was attributing that to a delayed flight and only about 4 hours of sleep one night. But come Thursday, it probably had more to do with the fact that I was getting sick. Thursday and Friday were miserable and I debated on even running but went ahead anyways. I really began to regret my decision on the bus ride up because I felt horrible. I started feeling better as we warmed up but the nasal congestion and coughing would not go away. I started a little faster than I should have but quickly let Dean, Julie and Michelle N go ahead. I considered GU'ing at mile 3 but decided against it and that probably wasn't the best decision. By the time I GU'd at 6.5 I was feeling very fatigued, but picked back up and it was hit and miss for the next 4.5 miles. Some good times, some bad times but survival. Not sure what happened at the 11.5 mile water stop but I almost collapsed at the mister. The last mile on the race always drags on but the worst is the run on the grass. I always slow down because I am so afraid of falling or rolling my ankle. I really wish I had more good to say, but some races are just that way. Quite a contrast from my 20 miler last week. So a good reality check. Time to refocus and train hard for 3-4 more weeks before taper time. Travel is still going to happen, can't get out of that but hopefully I will feel better soon. Splits: 7:22, 7:19, 7:22, 7:23, 7:31, 7:26, 7:58, 7:44, 7:44, 8:13, 7:59, 8:07,8:00, Happy Running!

| Met Paula for a nice easy run. Legs were very tired but not sore which is good, but means I did not push hard enough on Saturday, but focusing on training this week. Ave Pace 9:31 Happy Running!

| UGH! I went to group early because now that school has started I have to be home on time. I got there at 5 and Kris was there as well. We ran together until 5:30 and then met back with the regular early workout group. I felt okay during the first 30 min but tired. We then started the next 30 min or regular warm up and I was dragging. I chatted with Cheryl for a few minutes but told her to go ahead because I could not keep up. When we regrouped at 6 am I really considered leaving early but with SGM 6 weeks away, I decided to stick around. Cheris and I ended up avoiding the hills and running very easy until 6:45. I expect some fatigue from Saturday, but today was the extreme and I am not feeling well again. Not really sure if time off is the answer at this point or trying to push through and hoping I get feeling better soon. What a time to get sick! I made it all last winter without getting sick and I have now been sick twice this summer. Enough ranting, hoping tomorrow is better. Ave Pace 9:45 Happy Running!

I am in San Diego today for work. My Dad had told me that the street my hotel was on would take me to the ocean. I knew that I was inland but decided to run it and see how far I could get in 4 miles out and another 4 back to the hotel. I did not make it to the ocean, I would guess another 4 miles and I would have. It was rolling downhill out and I took it easy and then rolling up hill back. Once I hit the turn around I got some sort of kick because I picked up the pace significantly on the way back. I was in the 9's out and mid to low 8's back. It was finally nice to feel good even if it was at sea level. Ave Pace 8:52 Happy Running!

| Went to the BBK workout. Met Kris and warmed up with him for 3 miles and then regrouped with everyone else for the extra "extra mileage". Chatted with Michelle M. and then regrouped for the work out but after my hill excursion yesterday, no hills for me today. Ran nice and easy with Dean, Cheris, Michelle M and Debbie. | Met Paula this morning and my legs were tired. My office has been moving and I spent all day yesterday up on my feet and they were tired and sore when I got up. Took it extra easy because today will be the same. Ave Pace 9:52 Happy Running! Note: Worked 10 hours and spent the entire time on my feet. OUCH! Not quite sure how tomorrows 20 miler will go.

| Met a big group of BBK's for our 20 miler. I wasn't as worn out as I expected from yesterday so I thought I might be okay. We ended up splitting into two groups the fasties and the slowpokes. I was a slow poke today. I ran a little bit with most everyone at one point or another, but the last 5 miles were pretty painful. This is when I felt the effects of yesterday, not good. The good news is the move is over and I am back to normal work and only one day of travel next week. Ave Pace 8:52 Happy Running!

| Ran with Paula. My legs were still very fatigued the first mile (10:36) and I thought it was going to be a long, long run, but we picked up the pace as the miles went on and ended up feeling really good. Trying to focus and mentally prepare myself for tomorrow's work out so that I do not wimp out. Ave Pace 9:13 Happy Running!
