| 8 easy miles with Wendy. The first 4 were miserable and then it started feeling better. Incredibly hot and humid and mostly a sufferfest. Working on an attitude adjustment.....

| 5 easy miles with a lot of stretching afterwards. We had planned on 8 with some sprints, but tired legs won out.

| Oh, another rough day. I have really struggled the past few weeks, tired week legs and have yet to have a run that feels like I have progressed. Each has been a slug fest that just never ends. We had planned on 20 today and I had a bad attitude from the moment I rolled out of bed - tired after a very long, hard week at work and a few crazy issues at home. I was not in the mood to run, but headed out. I met Mo at the woodshed and we ran 3 to meet Wendy. We had planned on the south half of the Cowtown course, which I normally love, but not today. Not is 75 degrees + 70%+ humidity...It is draining. My legs wouldn't move and rollers were too much. We had to turn at campus to run Mo back and when we reach the Woodshed, I was done. I am hoping that ending and not pushing will help going into next week and I will start to feel better physically and emotionally.

| Met Wendy at Tom Thumb for the usual route up to the Woodshed and back. There was some high lightening when we started but no thunder, so I assumed we were okay. About .5 mile from the Woodshed the wind picked up and the temp dropped dramatically. Sprinkling started at the turn around and a down poor by the time we were across the bridge. It was nice to get it done, but we were soaked. Today's run was also indicative of how much the heat has been affecting how I feel. Once the temps dropped, I felt so much better and our pace picked up by 30 sec/mile.

| After a long week, we needed to complete our long run on Friday instead of Saturday due to work/family commitments. Wendy and I met at Tom Thumb and ran up to the Woodshed and from there we deviated from our plan to run loops and headed west on the trail, up to Ridglea Golf Course. We ran the out and back and finished with 2.5 miles on Bellaire. Over all the best long run of this training cycle by far, but also the easiest because it only had some rolling hills and the trail is soft. Saw a tiny baby turtle on the trail, a beautiful sunrise and a few other gifts along the way.

| After a long day of work/volleyball/birthday celebrations, I finally headed out around 9 pm. It was hot and humid and I have learned this summer that my body really does not like heat/humidity and almost fights against it. 6 easy miles and 20 oz of water consumed.

| Wendy and I met at the store and ran up through Rivercrest to Merrick and back down. Easy pace up and picked up a little on the down.

| 6 miles in Omaha. The first 4 were hilly and the last 2 were out and back on the bridge that crosses the Platte into Iowa. Amazing how much better it felt with the dew point in the low 60's.

| 8 miles around TCU in the oven that is FW. Very hot and humid this morning. Ran the first 5 with Wendy lapping the Track, Baseball field and out to University to and back by the stadium to get the hills (x2) and the a third lap by myself and sprints in the parking lot to finish up.
