tempo--ish today. started out with a warmup mile (hit 6:51, gmp) then threw it down into gear, the next couple of splits were like this (continuous and consecutive) 1- 5:56.1 2- 5:59.7 3- 6:05.9 4- 6:00.4 24:02-- 6:00.5 pace then continued through .3 on the next mile before i abruptly stopped, just feeling winded and my stomach was upset. ran the next mile easy-ish, 6:51ish, then decided to go hard again and threw down a 5:58.3. did mile cooldown in 7:29.
total of 5 hard miles in 30:00, 6:00 even. felt good holding that pace, it felt really easy, just had the stomach issues to deal with total on the day 8 miles in 51:12, 6:24 avg pace, even with the slow mileage at the start and end, not counting the brief stops after mile 5.3 and 7
