This was a great run. I pr'd by a little
over 6 minutes. This gave me much more confidence for the full in 3
weeks.
I had a gu 45 and again at 15 before the race. I started out at a pace
that I thought I could hold. I wanted to break 1:20, I had the paces for
1:16 written on my arm (I knew before the race that that probably wasnt
going to happen), ultimately I just wanted to PR and do good. I took a
gu at 5.5 and again at 10.5, both followed by water at the next aid
stations. Wind didnt kick in until about mile 5.5 and it lasted until
about mile 10. Overall it was a good race. I had fun, and I felt good,
and I got a new PR.
