Personal:

I've been running since I was nine.  I'm married to a fellow runner who inspires and supports me.  We have two children:  Cole (4) and Lily (18 mos.)  I help Bill Cobler coach cross country at East High School.

9 AM: Total Body Conditioning class. Ouch!

PM: Ran a couple miles pacing the Race Cats kids. I love that my kids are running cross country!

Short run Saturday! It's great having two solid weeks of training in. I think I'm on the upswing! Next week I will take my mileage over 60. The following will be a bit of a down week. I will be traveling for the USATF National Convention.

Going to go take a Zumba Strong class at 10:30. Should be torturously fun!

Met Becca and Tee at Murray Park for a fartlek workout. We kept it fairly short since none of us have been doing a lot of interval work. 2.7 mile warm up followed by 5-4-3-2-1 minutes with 3-2-2-1 recovery. 2mile cooldown.

Turkey Trot on Thursday! Should be fun!

Thanksgiving tradition. I ran it as a tempo run this year since I'm just easing back into consistent training. I have run with my BIL, Brady the last few years. This year Teren and Cole joined us.

This course is freaking hard. It's very hilly. I forgot how tough it was until about 400 meters in. I started kind of slowly and worked to pick people off throughout the race. My goal was under 19 minutes. I snuck under with an 18:48. I was pleased until I found out that I got smoked by two minutes by Grayson Murphy. (She just placed 8th at the NCAA's.) But, decent effort.

Teren took second. Cole won his age group and ran a two minute pr. His cross country training is paying off.We all won a Costco pumpkin pie . . .sooooo much pie.

4mile cooldown with Bill Cobler.

AM: I went to get my garmin off of its charger, only to find it hadn't charged. I was pretty sure it wouldn't last through my workout. I was right. I only made it through one set of intervals and died at 3.75 miles. I ran a couple more miles for around six.

Went to the gym for Zumba.

PM: Workout with the Race Cats. Warmed up one mile. 10 x 300 with 100 walk recovery. My group was around 63-65 seconds. They did a great job. They like to sprint. 1 mile cooldown for four miles tonight. Going to.attempt my fartlek workout again tomorrow morning. Hopefully, I won't be sore at all from kid sprints.
