4 miles this morning. I am going to try to have a better week this week. I haven't been running as much the last few weeks as I should be. Is anybody from the club up to running some intervals at 4:00 pm today at the park? I'm planning on being there. Let me know. Ran 6.5 miles tonight with Bill. We met out at the running store, Steve was kind enough to let me try on at least 5 different pairs of shoes. I think I liked the Saucony Tangents the best, but I'm still going to wait and see what he gets in when more of his Asics come in. Either way it will be a new experience for me, most of my running life has been in Nike's, but with Steve in business, I'm going to be adding some different brands to the closet. Bill and I did an easy 6.5 from the store up to Snow Canyon Middle School, then down the trail behind the school, then back on Snow Canyon Parkway, Bill had some calf issues about half way into the run, so we took it easy on the way back, which was fine with me. My knee has been hurting a little and I have a bruise on the inside, probably bumped it playing basketball.

4 miles this morning. Planning on doing hill repeats this afternoon.

Did hill workout @ Pah Tempe.

1 mile warm-up, then started.

1-2:12-felt slower than this

2-2:10- felt pretty good

3-2:08- fastest one

4-2:15 slowest one, not focused the whole time

5-2:11- better effort

6-2:13- last time I only did five, so I decided to add one more and it went alright.

1 mile for a cool down, feeling pretty tired and a little dehydrated now at home, but still glad I did this workout. Looks like I might be taking over as 9th grade girls basketball coach at our school. It could be a positive experience, I've always enjoyed coaching basketball and it would basically go from now until the first week in Feb. My plan would be to have morning practices at 6:00 am which would still leave me time to train after school.

7.5 miles mainly on the trail near the Red Hills Golf Course (City Creek Trail) I felt pretty good on the trail today, ankle felt good and was running at a little faster pace than usual over the rocks. Ran with Dave, Steve, and Paul (I know Paul told me, but I've already got it confused I think he was from Minnesota, if not Michigan.) Anyway was nice to have him along, he is also training for the Painter's Half. Today was also the first morning I started coaching 9th grade girls basketball-6:00 am practice, so had to get up at 5:00 in order to make it over to St. George in time. I'm pretty tired now and will probably try to go to bed a little earlier tonight.

Ran up and over 600 North trail down to the Fire Station by Coronado Ridge Subdivision.A nice 6.5 mile run out and then 6.5 back. The weather was pretty warm when I started, but then cooled off quickly once the sun went down. I missed the club run this morning, we had family Christmas pictures.
