What started out as a really good run, turned very bad around mile 10.  I didn't make it over to run with the club, so I decided I would drive my truck up to Springdale and then run home which would be a good 19 mile run.  The only problem is I forgot how far 19 miles is. I started off feeling really good and ran the first 10 miles just under 7:00 pace.  I started really struggling the next two miles and barely made it to Virgin, where I had dropped a bottle of water.  From Virgin it basically turned into a walk/jog/walk the rest of the way home.  My legs were just dead and kept cramping up. Anyway, after today I'm having second thoughts about the Utah Valley Marathon, considering switching just to the half.  I guess the one good thing was the fact I burned over 2700 calories and lost about 5 pounds on the adventure.

You can do it! You probably just had a bad day...possibly not enough food or rest? How are your feet? You can still walk the marathon and beat me!!!
