Too many meetings today!  Had to make time for a short run around the greenbelt. Beautiful warm day with no wind.  My calves are still hurting from Saturday, but feel better after the run.  Pace - 7:54

AM - Nice slow morning run.  Light breezes and low 40's.  Ran to Cotton Road and back for a total of 4.8 miles.   Pace - 8:30.

 

Noon - Made a loop around the greenbelt for a total 5 mile run.  Planned for (and achieved!) a slow easy run and did not take the GPS.   My legs are still a little stiff from the downhill last weekend.  I probably should have done a few more training downhills since Ogden is a lot of downhill!  With a little over a week to go paranoia is setting in - everyone around me seems to have a cold right now and I am washing my hands like a fanatic.

No morning run today. 

 

Greenbelt run at noon.  Did progressives from 8:00  up to a 7:10 pace.  Added a loop around the SUB at University place to get the extra quarter mile.  My legs are finally recovered from the hill, may try it again tomorrow with jtshad.  Average pace - 7:24   Temp 51 and windy.

Ran up the backside and down Sunnyside hill to home with  jtshad.  The wind was blowing hard with temps in the high 40's.  It's a steep hill, particularly toward the top. I was slow going up into the wind (about 9:20 pace for 1.5 miles) but made decent times coming down: 6:36, 6:25, 6:36, 6:51, 6:55, 7:14(end of downhill), 7:41, 7:55, 8:30 (.5 mile includes uphill to home).   Jtshad cruised ahead (way ahead) a couple of times and then returned to finish with me.  The legs feel much better than after last weeks downhill run.  Average pace - 7:28.
