I gained 30 lbs. during the service and came back out of shape; however I knew that if the Lord wanted me to once again run competitively, he would bless me to return to fitness.

PM-5xmile at Kiwanis Park(slightly uphill from start to finish). It seemed a bit longer than it was last year, but it would only be a few seconds. First one I felt pretty stiff, but ran 4:42. Next one I started with the pack, but people weren't wanting to run faster, so I sped up a bit. 4:43 for number 2. 3 was tough, but I ran 4:40. 4 started pretty slow, but then our last 400m was pretty quick and it was another 4:40. Last one I had Kramer and Brayden from 400m to 800m, Jake from 800m to 1400m, and Zac from 1200m to the end. Ran 4:35. Cool down after.

| | AM-5.2 miles on my own. Slept in a bit, so I missed running with the group.
PM-8 mile power run at Deer Creek. 1 mile warm up, then we started. Due to the quick elevation changes, tight turns, and wind, it was tough and hard to gauge effort on splits. Splits: 5:37, 5:17, 5:23, 5:29, 5:07, 5:19, 5:31, 5:09. Kramer and Jake held on pretty long to Jared and I. It was also beautiful up there with the leaves changing colors across the resevoir. Overall Ascent for the 8 miles was about 790 feet, and about the same in descent.

| | Hope to Hobbel long run. Beautiful. Due to conference, we had to start early. It was dark, but the stars were pretty, and as the light came, we could see the many different colors of leaves.
