20 min's on the elliptical before the run to try and loosen up the quads/ get warmed up.

10.2 miles around the DC loop. 70 f. It had rained some Sunday and then through the night. First time in forever that the ground was wet and the desert smelled fresh from the rain. It was semi muggy but I'll take the post rain muggy anyday over no rain at all. Legs were heavy and soreish throughout. Not feeling too crazy right now about training. Just have to put my head down and keep working... It'll usually turn around for the better down the road.

3.5 miles on the treadmill this evening.

30 min's on the spinbike. Just working on the quads... big knots... get out!

Tempos Tuesday-

Out early with the Circle o' Trust. 70 F at 5 a.m to start with. Temps were down. Humidity was up. 66-70% RH. We were all sweating like Logan- and that was on the warm up section.

3.5 mile warm  up out to the corner by the farm.

7 mile tempo @ 5:37 avg

Overall I felt pretty good today. First solid workout all summer. Times arent crazy fast but I was pleased I didn't want to bail out early and was able to commit to the full 7 miles. In fact I was almost ready to extend the tempo down to the bridge and add like .4 or so more. But Logan stopped at 7.0 and I just decided to call it. But wasn't totally DEAD... hopefully some progress has been made. timewilltell

Cooled down super slow for about 2.75 miles while listening to the two coaches talk about the upcoming season. Its fun for me to listen to them try to use Jedi mind games on each other. I'm just a neutral party. May the best team win boys. #fanofrunning

3 miles on the treadmill this evening.

30 min's on the spinbike. #sweatinglikeapig

Different moring. I was up and out of the house by about 5:30. Took a GU and planned on doing some miles or 1, 2 mile sets. Started warming up and within about a mile I felt horrible. Mind, body, soul... everything felt like "junk". So I came back home. Didn't know for sure what I'd do the rest of the moring. Thought about the treadmill. spinnbike. elliptical. But never could get on one. After an hour or so I just decided to the DC loop with no "workout" involved. #justarun

Saw one of the wild cats down at the DC with a live baby rabbit in it's mouth. Kind of sad and cool all at the same time. The run was blah. blah. blah

4.2 miles on the treadmill tonight.

Full marathon Training run with the Circle and Stephen. Plus Haydo joined for the first 20 miles too. Met up at Logan's house in Ivins at 5 a.m. Then drove up through Gunlock and Veyo out to 26.2 miles. It was nice up where we started at 59F. The first 8-10 miles were VERY slow and EZ at what we will call LOL pace. Lots of smart, well thought out, wise and useful adult conversation going on. A few times one or more of us were laughing so hard we were almost on the ground. We had GU and drinks at mile 8 but still never picked up the pace. From like 12-16 we got a little faster but still very gabby. Had another GU and water stop at mile 16. From there in pace got a little more formal. But never into full on hammer mode. Fastest mile for me of the day was mile 23@ 5:43 pace. I wanted to just get in the downhill. But from the Y' down to Ivins I did want to run better than I did last week. Held a decent pace to Ivins park or basically mile 25. Then the Circle went over to the splash pad and got soaked in water. From there back to Log's house I just tried to semi cool down and relax. Felt good at the end. Not dead at all. Not really sore either. Much, much, much better run than last week on a similar route. The downhill legs are coming around... but there's lots of work to do.

2:48.46 total time or a 6:26 avg for the run
