I guess I wasn't meant to run today.. My plan was to do a 5 mile progressive tempo run on the tm. Did 1.25 warmup then proceeded into my tempo run. I start the tempo and my baby starts crying so I keep jumping off the treadmill to give her a bink. At 1.5 miles into it she starts screaming so I turn off the tm and try to get her to sleep. Finally she falls asleep and I decided to change my workout to 3x1.5 mile intervals. About .6 into my interval I look out the window and spot the dog we are sitting running outside into the street. I jump off the tm and go get the dog and then baby starts crying again. (Definitely terrible day for getting a workout in) I ended with 1.5 @ 6:55 pace and .6 @6:45 pace.

Another bad day for trying to get a workout in. Plan was to alternate 200m hills and 400m sprints on the treadmill, I did 1.75 warm up and then set my incline to 7.0 and the speed to 7 minute pace. I get done with the hill and set the incline to 1.0. It won't budge and stays at a 7 even though it shows it is a 1. Yikes... I keep messing with it but it won't budge. In trying to figure out a workout I did .5 still at a 7 incline at 7:30 pace. Then I did .25 @ 8:30 pace. Then alternated 5x.25 at 7:00 pace and 8:30 pace. This was a hard workout. And I am bummed I couldn't get the incline down. Of course during my cool down the incline finally goes down... Not sure what is going on, maybe I need a new treadmill..

Got up early and did a fartlek outside. (Normal loop) 1 mile warm up then alternated 4 minutes hard by 2 minutes easy. pace was all over the board due to hills. I will list my hard paces followed by the easy pace.

1. 6:50, 8:00  2. 6:40, 7:40  3. 6:16, 7:16 4. 6:40, 7:45  5. 7:04, 10:00  6. 6:45 8:28

(minus the warmup-it was a 7:10 pace overall including fast and slow paces)

Felt controlled and good today. It has taken me longer to get back in shape than I would have liked-but lately I feel like my old body is slowly starting to come back.

Ran outside today. Normal loop and 3.5 loop. Felt pretty good. Legs were a little tired 8.5 into it. This is the longest I have run since the baby. Average pace 7:17
