First run sense the Marathon on the 7th. I'm going to take it easy and see how everything has healed. I'm itching to start speed workouts again, but I guess I'm supposed to take it easy for a couple of weeks right?

Well I did it, my first run sense the marathon! I felt really good, probably the best I've felt after any marathon. I first 1 1/2 miles I didn't even fell sore. The last few were a little tight, but smooth. I felt like I could have ran them at race pace, so I did, the last two.

Thanks for the advice Sasha and for the welcome to the blog, this is a really great running tool.

Thanks For the welcome Dustin, I'm going to have to start watching for you.

Second run sense marathon, I felt a little stiff from yesterday, but no injuries. I didn't feel as good as yesterday, so I didn't push the pace. I'll get all that lactic acid out of my system before I worry about speed. It was a nice easy 5 followed by 3 miles pushing the baby jogger while running with my wife. It was cold this morning, with a little snow! It was the first time in a long time that I had to bust out my winter running gear.

I'm pretty limited to my running routes because of the place I live. 100% of my running is on asphalt, because everything else is sand. I'm talking sand dunes. I run the sand dunes every now and again, but I stick to the road for the most part.

The one road that runs in front of my house, is an out and back run for me every day. I run uphill going out and down coming back. It gets a little boring running the same route every day, but I stay motivated by my long term goals.

Todays run consisted of a 2.5 mile uphill run, followd by the 2.5 mile slightly down hill back home. Going out was faster then yesterday, but I felt like a slug and had a hard time breathing. Coming back was great as it normally is. I pushed the last half a little and was able to comfortably run at about a 1/2 marathon pace, which is probably max threshold for me about now (5:45).

I was slightly stiff most of the day from yesterdays run. I guess maybe I pushed those last few miles a little too hard. Maybe I better take it easy the rest of the week and just focus on healing myself.

Today I did an easy 5 miles. I started out pretty stiff. By about 1.5 I was loose and then stiffened up a little from 4 to 5.

I can't wait to get back into my regular routine.

Did an easy 5 miles, felt a lot better then yesterday. I could still sense the post marathon tightness. I think I'll take Sasha's advice and gradually work back into this. The mind is willing, but the body say's " Hey, I'm not ready, your going to hurt yourself!"

After the easy 5, I went out again with my wife and pushed the baby jogger, to log another easy 3 miles. The 3 with her felt a lot smoother and helped loosen me up. Total 8 miles.
