It was a nice day for running today. I was actually a little on the hot side. I got off work a little early and was able to run before it got dark. I run a lot in the dark. I'm hoping for a headlamp for Christmas, so I'll be a little more visable when I run.

Wow it was windy today. Going out it was all I could do to put one foot in front of the other. Coming home I felt like I was being thrown forward.

I pushed the last few miles without too much effort. The last mile I started thinking about how long it had been sense I did an all out sprint, so the last 400 meters I gave it all I had. It's too bad I didn't have the garmin with me, but I felt like I was flying. My legs haven't moved that fast sense high school. I started thinking about how bad it would hurt if I should fall down.

Got home and went out again with my wife and did an additional 3 miles.

Had to travel to Moab for a work confrence. By the time I got done it was dark. The hotel didn't have a treadmill, but they had some sort of an outdated stair climber. I've never used one before, so I don't know exactly how to transfer over my hour I spent on it to miles. It was a lot tougher then I thought it would be. I haven't sweat that hard in a long time. I figure I did at least 5 miles.

Another windy day, felt pretty strong. Took it kind of slow and just enjoyed the run. Had a big coyote cross the road in front of me no farther then 75 feet. It just sat there and looked at me and the dog. I started wondering if I was lunch, so I yelled at it and it took off.

Ran with the wife and kid after my morning run. She had to stop and walk briefly a few times. I guess I wouldn't be running too fast either if I was five months along.

I could come up with a bunch of excuses why I didn't run this week, like work and holidays, but I won't.

I've decided to take a little time off for the holidays and get a fresh and new look on my running for next year. I've got some pretty big goals for next year and I feel that taking a little time off is going to make me hungrier and feel a little more rested.

I guess I should feel a little guilty, but I don't. I know me and I know this little vacation isn't going to last long.

In short, I ran a total of 0 miles for the week.

11 miles. I was a little stiff from yesterday's run, I'm sure it had to do with not running last week.

8 miles, felt pretty easy today. Probably won't do too much running until the new year.

I've probably gained about 5 pounds in the last two weeks. It'll give me something to work off for the new year.
