I have started the 12 mile days now, I'm not very excited about that, but I must remain true to the schedule laid out before me.  A good slow run anyway.  12 miles felt like 11.  Monday thru Thursday are now 12 mile days with Fridays being 10 mile days.  Saturday's are going to be my long runs.  I'm scheduled to do 72 miles this week.  The most miles I've ever ran in a  week is 72, so well see how this goes.

I'll be out of town all week, so I won't update the blog for awhile.

14 miles at home today.  My first semi long run of the season.  My body felt pretty tired today.  I really felt the weeks miles on my legs and hips.  All in all a very successful week of training.  I'm pleased to say that this weeks miles ties my record of most miles ran in one week!!  I can't wait to break that record.

I'll be in Page, AZ all next week as well.  I don't plan on blogging for about a week.

12 easy miles.  I felt much better today then Saturday.  Amazing what a day of rest well do.  Another run  at Bullfrog.  I'm heading to Page this afternoon for a good portion of the week.  I'll be in St. George one day as well.  I'll probably end up putting in a 12 miler down there, most likely Tuesday morning.

I was excited to see the Lottery results for the St. George marathon this morning, but the web site said I'll have to wait until 5 pm.  Now I'll have something to look forward to all day.

95 miles Nimbus.

12 miles this morning at 6 am. 3 miles of speed. 549, 539,and 533. Didnt' feel too fast, I'll have to pick it up in the future. I'm still a little distance with the lottery results.

I'm still crossing my fingers and hoping a few people that I contacted can come through for me. I'd owe someone my first born!!

12 miles at Bullfrog this morning, good to be back home.  I can't get any of my contacts to return my calls or emails on admission into the St. George marathon, so it sounds like I might be out of luck.

12 mile today, what's new.  A pretty good run.  I felt tired and fast as the same time.  Not sure I've experienced that one before.

12 mile run this morning. The body was telling me yesterday that I needed an extra day off.  The knees, shins, and hip has been hurting me lately.

Todays run felt pretty good.  The body didn't hurt, so thats a good thing.

I haven't heard back from any of my contacts about possibly getting into the St. George marathon.  I think I had better decide on another marathon.  I appreciate everbodies advise.  I'd really like to PR this year, that's kind of what my training geared toward.  Do you think that Top Of Utah is a PR course?

Does anyone know of a PR course?  Something that may be as fast as or close to St. George?

Push and sit ups.  Weights and heavy bag.

15 miles this morning in the wet, cold rain.  I just remembered how I had ran the whole St. George marathon last year with my wife in the rain and it kept me going.

A pretty good week.  I ended up taking Moday off again.  The body was tired and needed some extra rest, hopefully that's not the cast next week.

I registered for the Top Of Utah Marathon!!  I'm pretty excited for it.  I've never ran it.  This is going to give me something to focus on now for the rest of my training.  I hear it's a fast course, but looking at times, it looks like it's about 4 to 5 minutes slower then the St. George?

Does that sound about right?  Does anyone have any idea?

12 miles today.  4 mile of speed repeats.  First mile 5:42, Mile two 5:39, Mile three 5:36 mile 4 @ 5:33.  I hate speed work days, but I know they're good for me.  I do see a lot of improvement in my overall speed from them, so I'll keep doing them, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Another 12 miles this morning, no big deal.  Another big spider was spotted on my run.  I felt fast today.  I know it wasn't a tempo day, but it was all I could do to tell my legs to slow down.

Felt good.  Excited to start getting faster.  Can't wait to start bumbing up the speed.  Don't want to do it too fast.

12 easy miles this morning.  I actually ran with my wife today.  She's training for the Bryce Canyon 1/2.  We started at 5 am and really had a good run and conversation together.
