Easy 9 miles today.  I took a week off.  I wasn't feeling very well and was doing a lot of heavy lifting at work.  I thought it best to heal up and start fresh.

I thought I might struggle a little this morning because of the time off, but I felt pretty good.  I need to recommitt myself.  No more sleeping in.  I need to be up early and have my run in before work like last year.  I need to get ready for this baby in April anyway, so I just as well get used to getting up earlier.

Maybe I'll try some speed tomorrow.  I don't know if I'll be able to match last Tuesday's times.  I'm sure a week off robbed me of some of my speed...

Nice nine miler today.  The last mile was a little faster @ 6:36, nothing to get excited about.  Tomorrow I'll most likely do a little speed work.

I felt relaxed on my run and it felt easy for the most part.  My goal is to run six days this week, nine miles a day.

Tomorrow I have a physical fitness test with my scout group.  We have to run 1/4 mile as part of it.  I think I'll offer $10 to anyone that can beat me.  I hope I don't end up handing out $10, I'm not much of a sprinter.

9.5 total miles today.  Started out with a warm up and then did a few miles @ speed.

Mile 1 @ 5:52

Mile 2 @ 5:37

Mile 3 @ 5:26

The speed seems to be coming back, I think I'll be where I want to be soon.

At scouts tonight, we had a physical fitness test the boys had to do as part of their Tenderfoot requirement.  I offered them $10 if anyone of them could beat me on the push ups or 1/4 mile run.  I'm happy to say I didn't have to pay out.

I took my daughter's dog to show-and-tell today, the same dog that runs with me everyday.  It took forever cleaning all the burrs and stickers out of his coat that he picks up from running.

9 easy, early miles today.  Took the wife out to eat for Valentines.

Took the 4Runner back to the shop today for the second time after getting it back from the body shop.  It's scheduled for another touch up next week.  I wonder if those clowns are every going to get it right?

An O.K. run, considering I ate like a pig yesterday and consumed carbonated drinks like no tomorrow.  I figured it was Valintines day, so I let me hair down.

I ran well enough today to throw in a little tempo.  My sock was all bloody when I got done, because of a long toe-nail that was digging into another toe.  I hate when that happens.

There are a lot was bald-eagles and golden-eagles out here lately.  You can't beat the scenary or wild life out here.  I could definately do without the hills.

Good little run this morning.  Going out was a challenge, uphill and windy.  Coming back I pushed the pace a little and was able to get in 4.5 miles of  tempo.

I met my goal this week of running everyday at least nine miles!!

10.01 miles at a fairly easy pace.  Coming back I was running into a strong headwind, it felt like I should have been going faster for the effort I was putting into it.  Averaged 7:12 per mile for the 10.01.

Did a little speed today.  Started out with 3 miles of warm up and then went into my first speed mile.  The speed wasn't where I wanted or was expecting it to be, I'm guessing because of the strong head wind.

Mile 1 @ 5:58

Mile 2 @ 5:48

Mile 3 @ 5:47

Mile 4 @ 5:30

I decided to do an extra mile of repeats today, because I was kind of disappointed with the times.  Got mad at the dog because he thought he didn't need to follow me anymore, so I chained him up for the last two miles.

Easy day of running. Legs a little slow from yesterday's speed.   Started a little earlier today with the runnning, but not too early.  I like to get started a little later on my days off.  Ran slow and comfortable for the duration of the 10 miles.  The last mile was 6:47, just keeping it slow.

Got a lot accomplished today.  Got the 4Runner serviced, finished the taxes, took the 4Runner back into the body shop to have them redo a few screw-ups.

My 3 year old took a nasty spill today.  She has a black eye, and a big goose egg on her head.  My 7 year old lost her whole top row of front teeth this week, (tooth fairy has been busy).  My girls look pretty sad right now, I hope nobody turns me into DCFS.

10 miles @ 7:05  overall average pace.  I was hoping to go a little faster on the way back, but another headwind said no.  It's been nothing but wind all week long.  I guess tomorrow we might get a pretty good storm through here, so we'll see what happens.

Sat in a cold bath for about 15 minutes after my run today, yesterday as well.  I'm trying to do a little proactive damage control on a few muscles in my feet and thighs.  There not hurting too bad, but I like to take care of possible future injuries, by taking care of them when they just first start to tingle.

Cold and windy, with snow.  Just went through the motions today.  Got out, did my 10 miles, called it a day.  Nothing less then what I like to call a, "Slug Run".

10 miles, easy effort.  Just glad to be done with the week.  Another long week, with big miles for myself.  Body feels pretty good.  Cold baths did the trick.

10 easy miles. Did a average pace, not too slow, not too fast. Felt pretty good today.  Body seems to be well rested.  I've got some speed coming up tomorrow, I'll see how I feel tomorrow night.

4 easy miles.  I can't believe how windy it was.  I can't brag too much about the distance, but at least I got out.  I was going to do speed today, but the wind made me change my mind.  I'll do speed tomorrow is the wind dies down.

While running an airborne Raven dropped a half eaten rabbit, it almost hit me in the head!!

My achilles tendion has been bothering me the last few days.  I hate taking time off, but I'd rather take a few days off then a couple of months because I didn't rest an injury like I should.
