I just finished my LDS mission, so this summer I am getting back into running shape. Run in the morning, swim and light strength lift in the afternoon.

trail run out by green springs. my stomach felt weird again but kept up with the guys. a really pretty run, but i wasent able to get to many looks except for the ones of the trail right in front of me.but the biggest news of my life.......................

it was hard to decide to run today but after what happend durring christmas break i knew i couldent slack off. i have now done 2 consecutive saturday runs which is pretty good for me! i dont plan on ever missing another saturday run though. i decided im more dedicated to my team for that. the run was really really good though! i averaged around 7 00 for my miles, and on my last mile i felt really good and just ran race pace and finished my run at 27 minutes. it felt perfect outside! i was suprised i ran that hard because i literally ate dinner right before i ran! the end

went out on turtle trail today for one of the best runs of my existance. no big deal guys.... but seriously i just kept on going faster and faster. i stoped to enjoy the natural beauty of my suroundings haha! i seriously wanted to go another mile! i pretty much decided then and there that i truely did love running. it took me long enough haha yah i dunno, i just felt something out there on the trail i never felt before! this passion and stuff....ok enough gooey feelings and crap haha yah overall the run was pretty nice!

this. run. was. epic. haha ok maby not like way epic but still way fun! ran out kinda where i went yesterday. it was the watertower run or something, and it felt nice! i really enjoyed it! but the highlight had to be coaches story the last mile and a half or so! hahhaha! poor coach would have been eaten by thoes hippos if he haddent jumped in that ladys truck ( the bed of it......)

the first 3 miles were probably a little tiny bit tougher than the last 3..... the fact that we went up like literally a thousand feet for the first half might have had something to do with it but i dont know..... haha;) no but really it was tough and hard but in a good way! these trail runs are fun! i hope trail run thursdays become permanant now on. i can tell they are helping with my form as well. dang ive really noticed a difference in my whole take on running since monday! i am excited for longer runs and enjoy them! i think i'll keep this attitude and determination haha!

3 miles for the morning run. it was hard to start up, but we were talking about how xc was the best team at pv so that kinda inspired me i guess to get thrugh it just fine.

6 miles in the afternoon at a trail by ivins! it was tough but fun! my legs were really tired thoug, and it was dificult at times. this distance week is getting to me, or maby its just the morning run.

did a very fun and acomplishing run today to the top of the old airlport mountain! my planters acted up very very very badly comeing down the saddle then everyone left without me but after all the downhill it dident act up as much so i picked up the pace significantly and just about caught up with everyone at the end.

went into st george by the temple. found a little girls jacket and was %$#%^&*(& PROMISED $3 to wear it. i kept it on and unfourtunately fell a little bit behind on the tempo. we had lifting after and coach only gave me $2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did my first 11 and longest run ever! it felt really really nice especially the cold of 5 am but at least i wasent overheating much. there was one problem though....i had pretty bad diareah! i went 4 times off the side of the trail/road, but managed to catch up with the team a couple times. i had to poo durrng our 2 mile tempo though and dident catch up but still kept around 5:45 to 6:00 minute miles.

did 4x foremaster hills and 4x half hills in the middle of a 6 miler. it was pretty dang tough! we were all tired and weak. not much talking. 

later in the day i did a quick sub 20 3 miler with my young mens leader. it was fast! we went into hells canyon on the half marathon course. im excited for this weekend. and kinda nervous at the same time.

2 mile warm up before the half marathon. it felt way way way hard especially the last 3 miles! but im very happy with how i did 7th overall and 2nd age group! 1:19.30 ish was my time. 

i read coaches blog and decided to put more on haha!

first 3 miles were alot faster than i thought! i actually decided to run the half hard in these few miles because i knew i had a chance for top 10! the first few miles were all about 5:30 which suprised me a ton! i broke my 5k record by 5 seconds (17:10 to 17:05) going into the rolling hill section of the race. me and rhino stuck together and past casey about at the bridge (he was looking like he was hurting alot and me and ryan cheered him on for a bit). rhino and i stuck together untill the end of the dam road when i took a small lead. i caught up to mikey at the base of that tougher hill. i saw a yellow car, hit mike and past him a little bit as i gained a lead on him. it was tough runnin up the rest of that road but that hill at mile 10 was definantly the hard point of the race when the pain and tiredness really kicked in. got passed by this dude in yellow as he encouraged me to push the hill. i made it to the top almost to devon ( mile times went from 5:30 at the start to closer to 6 in the middle and now they were about 6:30 to 6:50) then just couldent go much faster for a mile or a mile and a half. i picked my pace up to about 6:30 to finish out thoes terrible last 2 miles. i finished and could barely stand up! it was a tough race to do. but it was pretty well worth it.

we did parkway maveric run today. but backwards! i dont think we have ever done it that way in the summer! but oh well. i went pee and had a tough time catching back up on the hill and i was breathing pretty hard. looks like i have some shape to get into right? well my hip flexor is still sore but nothing too bad. its just walking around durring the day and not as much on the actual run. i have been doing the trev robs and warior stuff. although i dont thing im doing the warior pose right cuz it just feels like its working my sexy thighs....not that thats a problem right coach? hehe>:) oh well its probably just a starting up soreness. i"ll be fine! i just cought up the last 2 weeks on the blog and hopefully i"ll be pretty consistant with the updates! so i hope that made all you blog stalkers happy!

went up to the dirt mile. it felt tough today! i struggled to get thrugh even 4 miles! side aches and breathing pains were what hurt, not really any leg fatigue. afterwords my hip flexer was pretty sore but i learned some proper techniques to takeing care of it no biggie. got some poop thrown at me at kids club.

dang i had a tough run today! i had a major sideach and my hip flexor was jack although its getting better i can tell. oh well i just had to tell myself allrighty its gunna hurt for the next few miles i might as well get used to it....and i did! it hurt but i guess running hurts dosent it? im hopeing my pains are "just getting started again" pains:)

we did a prett  good run around coral canyon. the hills werent too bad actually! megan told be to eat a bananna before and i did about 20 minutes beforethe run and i dont knowif it was justt coinsidence or just bannanas;) but my side cramps were far less noticeable! and i shaved....so coach is NOW in the lead;)

100 degrees...hot! i guess you should be alot more hydrated before you do thoes EVEN IF ITS JUST 3 MILES!! i thought i would be allright because i have the gouldiness you know? but dang i felt sick! in the bad way... i ran up to maveric and down the parkway to the park to get watter but when i got there i felt more sick than thirsty so i went on my way but then like 2 minutes later i got buzzy so i stood under a tree and i noticed my heart rate was thrugh the roof! i should have measured it but it felt like i just finished a race and i was only at mile 2 of a easy 3 miler! but i stood there and took deep breaths to get my heartrate down again then took it easy the last 1.3 miles. i think we need to adress the importance of hydration to the newcomers at xc practice and also  remind even us expirienced folk to drink 100 oz every day! even i forget;) oh well lesson learned! and i also feel way acomplished cuz this is my 3rd saturday run in a row! that has only happened a handfull of times! and i dont plan on stoping this trend:)

had a nice run up the parkway and down the washingto backroad for a nice 3 miles. dident get one side cramp untill the last 20 feet literally! so yah it was good! then i went to the gym for some weights with mattew. last time i went i got pretty sore so i toned it down one notch for every machine i did. im just going for a stronger core after all. its only 11 and ive drank just about 100 oz already! good day of workin out:)

had a good run up at the dirt mile. though about xc season this year, and yes coach robbie, i thought about how out convesation wasent very nice, kinda weird and a little humorous, but it might have been a 1 sided humor but hey! lots of my jokes are only funny to me right holt?;) but anyways i felt pretty good and relaxed even though sometimes we got down into the 7:00 pace and i usually dont feel att that smooth at that pace.

had a really nice 7 miler up the grapevine hill and down the coral canyon side! coach, i cant remeber...was that a loop? haha but ya it was way good! the first 3 miles were kinda tough but once we were on top of the hill i felt way great the rest of the way! but i had to "go" quite a bit... but yah i had a top notch run today. i should be getting new shoes but theses kinects are sooo comfey! i like that soft  slightly minimal bottom feel they give and they arent hurting my planters like so many other shoes do! but yah im getting new ones soon enough

matt woke up at 5:30 to run up at camp helaman. dummy! why would you wake up that early when you have hours of free time to run durring the day? well i went running all by my self up at 8.5 k feet up near mamoth. itwas lonely and the high altitude made for some tough running. im glad coach showed up because if he dident im thinking there would have been like a 50/50 chance i wouldent have even gone.

allrighty what a day today! had a pretty great easy run today:) i had some intence pain the last half mile up where my neck meets my shoulder. anyone have tips for that? we havent had any rip banannas for  a whyle so that might be why. so you guys know how i locked my keys in my car yesterday? well.... i did it again today. at the dentists.... i went to home depot after i got back into my car and copied thoes bad little  boys. and the keys too;)

had a good run around the neighborhood and on the grass with striders after it wa pretty quiet. went lifting after. then i did some good stretches and rolled with a foam roller

went to the running store today and got some new shoes. it was a tough decission between the kinvara 3s and the altras with support. i really liked both of them, except for the 70 acres the toes get on the altra, but i chose the altras cuz they help with form, and running efficiently. tough decision! i way way way way way love the brooks connects. they are my favorite ive ever had but i needed something new becauuse even though it says on my blog that my grean beans only have like 250 miles i have 500+ on them (there was a blog apostacy for a few months) and i needed something for longer runs. i'll for sure still run in my green beans.

good run down in green valley with my new altras. i was worried about the size of them, they might have been too small, but they were actually pretty good! i hope they help to improve the way i run a little. paul did good again today, as did everyone else! but paul insisted that he went the whole 6 miles, when coach only wanted him to do 5. i hope nobody gets injured! still bumbed about colton! i talked to him today and he still thinks he can go to camp so thats good! we need him and everyone else to bring their A game this season!

nice 7 miler! after 2.5 it was just me and coach, shirtless, runnin up bluff! it was a magical excpirience.... but he dident have very many interesting storys and i dident have any dumb ones (cuz i dont have good stories apparantly) and we just kinda ran i guess. the turn around was at the top of a longis hill and all the way back thrugh st g we were running a good 6:40 to 7ish pace! it was quick and i still felt good doing it! looks like im getting into a shapeish state of shapelyness! thats a good sign

did our long run out into the feilds. i felt pretty good considering the fact it was 10 miles! the last mile and a half weere the toughest parts though. i stoped when i was about to barf. i dident feel that it was worth barfing over so i just stoped and let my stomach settle. the only real problems i felt was my stomach and my breathing got pretty hard the last 2 miles or so. got home and drank a gatoraid so my electrolites are bueno:)

had a nice easy 4 mile run today. hit some nice paces on the dirt mile. felt some sharp pains in the side and up where the neck meets the shoulder. ive been getting used to it. ran about a mile at kids club. it was hot and everyone was geting anoying except me;) my hip flexor still feels a little sore post run.

 

i dident do my double today because i ate some jerky (homemade) ...lots of it...like 15 peices and my crap is... crappy and my tummy hurts. i also havent been drinking lots today accidentaly. i just realised that.  i also had a 32 oz soda today too. 

saw this online but havent watched it yet but it looks good! ill watch it when my internet connection gets better. its a xc season thingy or something. dang it wont let me copy paste! well this tablet isent as good of a computer as a actual computer.....weird. oh well go to youtube and search "cross country running - The Anthology" and the cover is a image of the start of a girls race i belive. ya but watch it! i know i will someday!

dang kind of a pathetic week! missed both workouts and was very down from everyone elses mileage! oh well... i ran down turtle train for a 7 miler today. it was pretty hot! the latst mile was the worst comeing into the humid neighborhood. on the way back tyson or tallon littlefeild i forgot wich rode past me on a bike ride. we talked for a bit he was going my way. it felt compareitavly good! whyle i was up at youth conference the last 2 days desert hells was our nextdoor cabin on their high altitude camp! crazy eh? they just go up for 2 days though in a boreing cabin...lame!  they left just a few hours after i found out though. excited for camp! its gunna be fun!

i really wanted to just do good today! comeing out of a crummy slacker week last week i really was motivated to give it my all this week! and i was doing great! the first 5 miles of our 12 miler with 3 tempo felt amazeing! i was running smooth with no cramps or anything! but then the need to crap was overwhelming.... i went about mile 5 and that kinda inturupted my smoothness. then i went at mile 7. after that i dident have to go anymore but i was just thinking how much of a wimp they all though i was being ahead of me but i was 3 miles away from the school so i just kicked it into about 6-6:30 pace untill the fire station hill but up the hill the the rest of the uphill untill the end i kept it at under 7! it hurt alot though but i had to finish the tempo. coach told me to stop at 10 though. after i got home i ran a mile with my siblings though, so i guess  thats better than nothing. i guess for what i did it was good, but i wish i could haave just stayed up with them! im sick of haveing all these lame excuses. oh well. ive still got afternoon practice too and that should be good. and im looking forward to the race on wednesday! iim just wanting to get into the 17 minutes being the first race and getting into things again. should be good!

nice easy grass run this morning. 

race day! i was pretty nervous but once the race started i felt nice and fast! the first loop i pased tons of people and solidified a top 10 position right behind casey. i was pretty suprised that i was up there! i mean i could actually see brigham!;) not michael of course but no suprise he did legit! on the second lap i kept my position pretty good except for maby a couple passes by me or someone else but when casey fell behind me i knew he either was haveing a tough race, i was haveing a kick but race or i was just going to fast but i just kept it going. i was really feeling it starting the last loop but i tried to keep the pace. if i never felt like barfing i would be pretty legit;) thats the mmain reason i couldent kick really great on the track and got pased up by 1 person the very last second. i'll work on that next time. over all i felt really really good especially since that 30ish second pr! summer training must be worth it or something! i want to try to stay up in the top 10 this season for all the region 9 races. a big downside i felt on the track the fist loop and about a mile after that was my flats really made my left planters tendon feel like i was stepping on a needlee! so i couldent really keep a good form going on my left foot:/ i'll try to put on wintercrest before the next race/speed workout or whatever. hope it works!

so the race today was pretty great! i felt like i started out pretty quick but not too quick! it put my pace where it needed to be. on that very slight uphill east i felt crummy every single time but definantly put more into it on the turn comeing down. 

things i did well i thought:

started good and fast

kept a solid pace thrugh most of it

dodged slow arrows.

kicked great! this course kinda tricked me into thinking the finish was shorter so i kicked early and hard but now that i know i can do it it makes me more confidant for next time!

things i can work on.

comeing up that hill definantly was a time i could pick some ugly butts off and could have got top 10 status for sure. balls to the wall right? i was just feeling exausted. i was trying hard for sure but looking back i could have done better.

give the hell boys more of a race. i cant remember if it was the 3rd of 4th hellian i was raceing close to but i .....lost it to him....  shame eh? what a hoser (canadian slang cuz cam was there and i talked to him for a minute or two and almost got my flats signed)

anyways all in all it felt like a pretty solid race. i want to get up in that top 10 though! i dont know if thats a legal goal though according to mrs petersons rules.

also pretty stoked about the jv boys and how colton has managed to improve up to scoreing varsity times!

They felt soooo good! well they hurt mucho but it made my feelings feel good!

splits for thousands were 3:07 3:05 3:03 3:03 2:56 2:57! my first 2 sub 3 splits on the last part of the workout even after doing great splits overall for me! much better than my 3:10 to 3:15 splits from last week! then again i wasent feeling to great last week but still definantly one of my best workouts. strectched really good afterwards.

did 5x mile repeates with a mile warmup and cool down. they were pretty pshyc (sick). pace was just threshold and goal times were about 6 minues. michael finch, casey kimzey and i were the only ones doing it thismorning because the rest of the team was raceing for the last varsity spots tomorow. anyways, we all stuck together on the first one with a 5:47 wich was mikes goal time, then we all got 5:43, 5:40 5:35 then finished with a strong 5:30. it felt awesome haveing the 3 of us all killing our times on a tough workout. it felt good sticking with mike the whole time as well. and the best thing was i feel good still! i dident over doo myself for the workouts later this week and im feelin good for the race up in murray this weekend.

so i wrote all of this before then my tablet shut off and i lost everything!!! it would have been updated a whyle ago but i was just so mad i quit then the wifi at my house dident work for the next day. 

anyways we did a nice 3 miler in the morning and left for murray right before school started. it was a fun trip like always. me, casey and mike were the only ones who have been on a varsity trip before so lots of noobs and it was fun!

we got up to the state course and ran it with commentary by mike (with some contradicting points of view by casey). we stretched after and went to the mall to eat before the race. then we went to murray!!

 so we got to the race and it was super awesome! there were thousands of people everywhere! we watches a little bit of the jv races and started a warm up to some important parts of the course. it got me pretty excited! the girls started then we went to the line! 

ok so continure to the next paragraph then come to this one. so me and jayson pushed past the hells pack then ben and me and jayson kept passing and passing eachother. bens coach boosted his moral about 800 from the end and i just couldent kick with him. i beat jasons kick though and i felt that for me my kick was good. i past a few and got pased by a couple. anyways overall it was a good race! the ride back home was so fun! haha weird... anyways it was a nice trip and a good race.  

so the gun went off and the start was seriously super intece! people were getting pushed all over the place and some dummy kept kicking my feet! mike was right in front of me and we both werent in very great place to start and i tried to follow mikes push thrugh the crowd but there were just so many people! that first mile wasent as fast as it could have been. the whole rest of the race i did this push past a group then settle for another 20 seconds untill i got the balls to to it again. it worked pretty well. me and jayson just pased the dirt hill and the 4th and 5th or 3rd and 4th i cant remembe desert hells kids were there

nice easy 3 for am run

afternoon we did 2 warm up, 4x 30 second sprints, 3x 800 hard and ending it with the main part, 4x 1000s indian runs. the indian runs were tough. the beginning of the workout got us good and tired for the 1000s and it really showed who had it in them! i was really feeling pooped by the 3rd and 4th thousand but i kept it in and even helped push the group! i feet good on my 800s too keeping with mike. they werent real quick 800s but i was the only one  who stuck with him in all of them. the 2 mile cool down felt pretty quick though. could have taken it easyer but oh well.... getting ready for our last time trial tomorow!

time trial today. we did 3 in the morning then 3 in the afternoon, did the time trial which i'll talk about in a sec, a mile and a half cool down and some hill sprints to finish off with some speed.

so the time trial: i started out faster than i would have with mike and casey but that was good cuz it pushed me to stay with casey. at the end of the first 1200 loop i was strugleing but kept with casey. as the race went on i was getting into the rut so i tried passing casey to take 2nd (mike shot off like a beast a whyle ago) but every time he would kick it faster and pull both of us along. another 1200 came and went and i was feeling crappy but good that i was sticking with casey and the last 800 loop came and we pushed it harder. i wanted to outkick casey but after the hill he pushed it harder than i could. oh well i feel good that i finished 2 seconds behind him.

so since wednesday i bought some kinvara 3s but they have been hurting my already hurt planters (it feels like stepping on a needle right thrugh the center of my foot/arch) so im going to return them. maby get some brooks pureflows. anyways another trip up north. sorry i havent updated in a whyle i have been useing all my free time for homework. but we had the harriman invitational. that course was the worst ever! its suuuuper tough. it was definantly a pear growing expirience if you know what i mean. i was worried my plantars would kill with all the fast downhill running but it actually dident hurt at all! that i noticed anyways. 

so we started nice and quick up a gradual incline then rounded a corner into a stepe downhill. i took it a little slower than i would have. eventually cought up with casey and we stuck together pushing eachother up the hills and over em and on the long kick sections. i passed him right before the mutha cussa (which i am not worthy of describeing...) and kept in front of him for that last half mile or so.

i was way way happy with my race. i definantly hurt more on that race than any other ever! but i finished good at 12th place (time dosent matter on this one but its like 1:30 slower than normal!) i was .....i cant remember....like a minute more or less back from mike. maby 45 seconds. i got a shnazzy shirt though they gave them to the top 14 sorry casey, youtook 15th;) and we beat desert hills and now they are ticked and tapering to beat us next weekend. they are stupid sometimes. i like ben though he is nice! i beat all but 1 desert hells guy in the race. 

so yah overall it was a pretty solid race! sorry about the bad spelling and organization im sleepy.

afternoon we did a mile warm up before michigans. we started and someone triped me whyle i was shirtless on the track. probably a dumb freshman who wanted to start the 4.25 mile workout like a frakin race. but i fell and slid on my back a couple feet tearing off my skin. hobes said it looked pretty bad (whyle everyone was a 100 ahead of me) so he dident say it was terrible so i sprinted to get back with the group (which tired me quite a bit for later) and kept with casey and mike untill mike picked it up and casey fell behind which left me alone and its tough to do michigans all alone! my pace definanly suffered durring the 2400 sections. i tried to get back faster on the next 800s and i did but it left the next 3 800 loops pretty poopy. i was barely under pace. goal time was 25:10 for A standard. i got 25:15:( my own fault though im blameing myself instead of the start. i could have pulled a measly 5 seconds from my keister but i dident push hard enough. oh well i'll definantly get it next time. it felt good seing noone but mike ahead of me though! i never would have though in my freshman year i would be this good. went to marks room to get cleaned up after cool down and i guess it was pretty bad. i could tell when he sprayed the hydrogen peroxide all over my back......ouch! oh well. it'll be wraped up for another day or so nothing too bad. it just killed my start!

region today! the race was good but im not quite satisfied with good. desert hills took the win and the team did a little sub par, myself included. i dident really feel like i normally do durring a race. my stomach was hurting alot before the race but it stoped a little before it started but idk i felt like i did good, but i expected myself to do great.

state was reallly good for me! the team dident do quite as great and i dont really want to talk much about the race team wise except for the fact we took 5th, and could have done much better but we did what we could do i guess. 

as for me, i started out kinda stuck behind people about in the middle of the pack and was stuck there untill after comeing down the hill and into the 2nd loop and got back up front-ish by the big hill. caught up with josh m (desert hills) and we had a tough back and forth battle for a mile and a half or so. during that battle i cought up with casey by the long hill and drafted behind him for a half mile or so untill i decided i had enough energy to pass and catch josh again. i pushed the next half mile just enough to pass a person every 15 seconds or so and got into a great position to finish. with .75 miles to go i passed josh strong for what i was hopeing to be the last time and it was. i tried to pass more on the last stretch but there werent many to pass at that point and only got 2 or 3. i got on the track for the last 200 meters and cought 1 more but got passed up barely by a ogden guy named pedro. i got 20th which i was very happy with considering i was like 35th preseason ranked. i set myself up with a 3 or 4th returning placement for next year.im determined to pull a mike and work more than i ever have to e the absolute best i can be

really good race for me. i ran with casey and stuck behind him once i caught him. towards the end i decided to try and pass him and the group i was with (there was 4 of us.) i kicked hard and took 2nd out of the 4 of us with a maple mountain kid or something pased me up on the track. took 20th overall and got a nice medal.

this workout was a few weeks ago (updateing november 27th) but i remember it being something close too.....heck? yah.... 4 sets of 1200, 1000, 800, and 600s. all were pretty quick pace. i wanted to give up after the first set but im glad i stuck it in and finished strong

awesome race for me! first mile was like 5:02, 2nd was 10:15 ish and mile 3 was around 15:30 to 15:45 i think. finished with my best 5k time of 16:50.

the start was very crouded but i was in a good position in my opinion. the crowd kept me from launching out too fast. after the first mile the group became navigatable and i slowly inched past people. i knew i was doing solid when i passed kris (DH). the last 1000 came and went...and went....and went... it seemed like forever long. kris past me again. i ended up finishing 3 sec behind him or so. after the race i held it together enough to help mike who was still babbling like a buffoon (check out mike finches race if you havent allready....it was amazeing)  haha "get up mike you cant lay down" "ok....no...yah... wheres coach?" haha he was acting weird:/ anyways i struggled keeping the kick going on that forever long last thousand but beat afro man and had probably the race of the year for me so thats always good:)

mile time trial today. i was hopeing to get into the 4:30s but that was fairly optomistic considering i havent done any track training and i havent run the mile since last year at a 4:48. i was having trouble breathing and i dident really go when i could and should have. i guess the fact that it was a time trial blocked some mental mojo. you can tell kyler and abel were out to prove themselves! the outkicked me in the last 200. looking forward to much better times once i get some speedy speed back in the legs durring track

so yah hello all! i havent updatedd in a whyle. hopefully i can keep the habit going again but thanks to mike i have updated all my mileage and brief summarys of my raced from state up till now. 

am: 3. wore a sweat shirt, it was chilly!

pm: 4. nice easy run after the mile yesterday. im starting to feel the soreness of going that fast for the first time in a whyle! its not too bad though. excited for the california trip!

pleasant suprise yesterday when i found that ogden was opting for a move up to 4A and that puts me as first returner for 3A next year! definantly never thought i would get this far but im stoked to push my hardest over winter training, track and summer training to solidify my state championship (i hope). definantly an awesome new motivation to do my best!
