Short-Term Running Goals: short term running goals:
I just finished my LDS mission, so this summer I am getting back into running shape. Run in the morning, swim and light strength lift in the afternoon.
Red-shirt at USU this fall and get ready to compete in the spring.

Make it on the USU A-team Personal: I just returned from a LDS mission. I served in the Bakersfield CA area.
Now, I'm a student at USU, running there and majoring in Bio-engineering.

ceader first race 2012 xc season (2.9 Miles) 00:16:38, Place overall: 8, Place in age division: 8 | | nice easy grass run this morning. race day! i was pretty nervous but once the race started i felt nice and fast! the first loop i pased tons of people and solidified a top 10 position right behind casey. i was pretty suprised that i was up there! i mean i could actually see brigham!;) not michael of course but no suprise he did legit! on the second lap i kept my position pretty good except for maby a couple passes by me or someone else but when casey fell behind me i knew he either was haveing a tough race, i was haveing a kick but race or i was just going to fast but i just kept it going. i was really feeling it starting the last loop but i tried to keep the pace. if i never felt like barfing i would be pretty legit;) thats the mmain reason i couldent kick really great on the track and got pased up by 1 person the very last second. i'll work on that next time. over all i felt really really good especially since that 30ish second pr! summer training must be worth it or something! i want to try to stay up in the top 10 this season for all the region 9 races. a big downside i felt on the track the fist loop and about a mile after that was my flats really made my left planters tendon feel like i was stepping on a needlee! so i couldent really keep a good form going on my left foot:/ i'll try to put on wintercrest before the next race/speed workout or whatever. hope it works! |

| | had a tough hill sprint workout today. i dident really eat a whole lot since the race so i felt reallly really weak today! i did everything and tried my hardest but i was just a few seconds slower than normal. the climb out of hells hole was heck!! stoped at the white church on the way back for some holy water. did a 6pm run today with the team and skiped weights because we had TEAM NIGHT! at the running center! it was pretty fun! |

| | im getting kinda sick with a cold so i was planning on only going like 4 today but after i got going it felt pretty good! we met at the park by the dixie center and ran down by the river trail. skipped the 3 afteroon run so i could try to rest up and get over the cold. |

hurricane invitational 2012 varsity (3 Miles) 00:17:11, Place overall: 12 | | this race was weird for me i guess. i thought i would be getting a way faster time than last week but nope! it was hard to run fast. i think my body was pretty tired but idk i'll do better next time. |

| | did some 3 minute intervals (almost thousands). i did 7 of them had to take a bathroom break. the last 3 were way tough because coach was yelling lots but it waas good i guess. and the 3 in the morning wwas good too. |

ok no more catching up on my blog! im doing this every day now!:) ok so morning run with a nice 3. it wasent really talkitive. we tried but it was lame! i just imagined going to nationals like i do most morning runs when we are quite. it helps get my mind off paains and crap really well! 6 days later..... Guys im lame!!! ok so it was a 4 with striders and lifting and from what my momory can remember...it went well:)

SUU bicentenial park 2012 (3 Miles) 00:16:57, Place overall: 12 | | so the race today was pretty great! i felt like i started out pretty quick but not too quick! it put my pace where it needed to be. on that very slight uphill east i felt crummy every single time but definantly put more into it on the turn comeing down. things i did well i thought: started good and fast kept a solid pace thrugh most of it dodged slow arrows. kicked great! this course kinda tricked me into thinking the finish was shorter so i kicked early and hard but now that i know i can do it it makes me more confidant for next time! things i can work on. comeing up that hill definantly was a time i could pick some ugly butts off and could have got top 10 status for sure. balls to the wall right? i was just feeling exausted. i was trying hard for sure but looking back i could have done better. give the hell boys more of a race. i cant remember if it was the 3rd of 4th hellian i was raceing close to but i .....lost it to him.... shame eh? what a hoser (canadian slang cuz cam was there and i talked to him for a minute or two and almost got my flats signed) anyways all in all it felt like a pretty solid race. i want to get up in that top 10 though! i dont know if thats a legal goal though according to mrs petersons rules. also pretty stoked about the jv boys and how colton has managed to improve up to scoreing varsity times! the end:) |

| | morning run was faboo! and if you want to look at my last weeks stuff i just posted it sorry ive been slacking;) now to the workout. They felt soooo good! well they hurt mucho but it made my feelings feel good! splits for thousands were 3:07 3:05 3:03 3:03 2:56 2:57! my first 2 sub 3 splits on the last part of the workout even after doing great splits overall for me! much better than my 3:10 to 3:15 splits from last week! then again i wasent feeling to great last week but still definantly one of my best workouts. strectched really good afterwards. |

| | morning run was good today! i felt the workout a little but the easy 3 shook things out pretty well:) another workout this afternoon! my legs felt great (for there being a hard workout yesterday) and i kept the 2 minutes hard at a pretty solid pace and the 400s pretty quick. it dident feel super exausting but definantly got my legs moveing:) had to skip the cool down though so i could catch piano lessons at 5 |

am: Nice and easy 3. quiet? nope. mattew was much louder than normal, and thats saying something! we couldentget him to shut up! pm: it was hot today! clouds everywhere but above us....again... but soaking the shirt in water at the sullivan park there and back definantly helped. we did striders in the middle of the run again. i like that! lifting and plyos after felt good. its sooo hot outside haha!
