| Really tough but good workout today. Started with a mile repeat at 5k pace, (5:14) then did a two mile repeat, slowing down by about 15 seconds per mile, I ran a 11:05 (possible a bit faster, I forgot my watch and coach was distracted when I came across the line, so it took him a sec to give me the time haha) and I was really happy with that, took some good mental toughness that last mile. Then we did one more mile repeat, no goal time, all effort based, and I ran a 5:13. It was great. Maybe I should run without my watch more often, or just look at it less. I'm just proud of the mental tenacity during that workout.

| What a workout! We did a 8 mile progression run, with a mile warmup tacked on the front and back end of it. It was a really tough run on the Murdock canal trail. Going out was fine, and there was really one one fastish mile, but once we turned around, man! There was a nice headwind, classic! Anyway, I didn't have my watch, and I just wanted to focus on the effort. I think, based on what other people's pace were that I ran with briefly or passed, that my pace varied between 5:55 and like 6:20 for the majority of the run. Biggest focus for me right now is the effort and mental toughness, to get ready for that 55k.

| Wow! Really fun trail run with my boy Sam! We ran from the house down to Grove Creek canyon, and ran up that. It was a GORGEOUS run, such good scenery and a really good trail. I found out that it loops around down to battle creek, so I'm going to make sure to do that loop sometime! It was super muddy coming back, but it was just great. Love trail runs, especially when I'm not worrying about the pace or distance, and just enjoying a good run.
