Ran another four miles at a 7:15 pace. I started getting my gear together last night for my race on Saturday and it took me a long time. I did have to re-format my I-pod which is good because i needed better music on there anyway. The music i had was just to slow for running. But i am about 75% done packing. Anyway, not much planed for today work and fix a friends printer and rest. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

So what are your goals for Saturday? I normally have 3 goals, a bare minimum goal, a realistic goal, and that "dream" goal if everything goes just right.

I know you will be under 1:30....but how far under???

Thanks Bill, I would like to get a 1:28, i think that is a 6:48 per mile pace. I think that is the pace you would like to get under three hours marathon right?

A 1:28 comes out to a 6:43 average. We should probably start together so we can go out at the right pace and not start too fast. The Salt Lake course starts with some downhill and it is easy to push too fast of a pace early on. A slower 1st mile will pay BIG dividends later on.

Sounds like a plan to me and thank you for the help. Is the course more flat or up and down hill? I only ran it once and i can not remember much.

For the half-marathoners the first couple of miles are rolling, mostly downhill. The rest of it is pretty flat til the last couple which have a slight uphill until it flattens out at the end.
