I started running in 2004 when I needed to lose 100 lbs. or so. I got active with running and triathlons and still continue to participate in the local active events.  I am married with 3 children.

Had a little unplanned warmup before the start of the race as I had to park several blocks away.  Was good to find Pete to have someone to chat with during the race.  I am glad that I survived as it seemed that this race was all uphill.  I haven't ran this race for several years and didn't realize how much of a climb that is out of bloomington hills.  At any rate, I lost Pete on that stretch of hill and had to suck it up for the 2nd half of the race.  The drugs kicked in with about 3 miles left and I should have taken them from the beginning :)  All in all, it was great to get out and run.  Legs are feeling it.
