Intense trail run after work near Breckenridge, CO.  13 miles starting at just above 11,000 feet summiting four 14,000 foot peaks in a loop.  Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln and Bross.  I hit the sunset on each one.  The most beautiful run I have ever done.  Bar none.

Easy run on Logan Riverside trail with my girls on scooters. Beautiful quiet evening and the kids loved every minute.

Too many runs lately at trail pace and needing one without severe uphills so I had my son drive Walter Brown and me up to about the 8,500 level on Mt Logan in the afternoon. We ran to Right Hand Fork and over to Crimson Trail, hooking up with Logan River Trail to come out the canyon, and up to my house. Nice gradual downhill and we averaged 6:07 miles through the first 6. Much faster than anything I have done in a while and it felt good. Super hot coming into the Logan Canyon trails though and we kept stopping briefly to hold our heads in the river. I was happy to see 6:30 average through 17 miles. Downhill but on trail. The last four killed us. Just could not keep up with water trying to run fast. Two of these miles were over 8 min pace.

Easy run with the kids. Pretty cool to have the kids old enough now that they are faster on scooters and bikes than me running. No more waiting.

Just dropped below 165lbs for the first time in a year. Maybe I should take this opportunity and get in shape...

2.5 hours surfing The Rock and the Zipper, Costa Azul, Cabo.  Then got in a seriously hot run.  I averaged 9 minute pace for this today and was working it.  Heat and running do not mix for me.  Three days to waste here without any work to do.  Love this job sometimes...

Hottest day of running ever, including Grand Canyon stuff.  Ran 5 miles early morning before the sun was up in Cabo.  Then out on Old Mans surf line up I was talking with a local in between breaks and he said that he did buggy and motorcycle rentals out along Baja.  We did some talking and after lunch he picked me up in a dune buggy with a cooler that I put a dozen Diet Cokes in and drove me 15 miles out into the desert mountains.  I stashed Diet Cokes and Chips Ahoy along the way.  103 degrees today, with some humidity, and hit like a brick oven.  I went through eight 20 ounce Cokes and still barely made it back.  Very slow in the heat, clocking 9:10 average pace.
