I can feel some pulling in my knee so I am taking today off.  I don't wan't a repeat of last week.  It appears that I am not cut out for the two a days.  My intent was to keep the body going throughout the day.  Maybe I need to be lighter before I increase the number of runs per day.  The only issue is how do I get lighter without increasing the runs?

Ran 2 miles with Gracie in the evening.  Super easy pace but my legs felt like trash.

Eat less. Unfortunately it's the only answer to your question. Good job listening to your body.

Andy - I'm in the same boat. Seems like my metabolism has slowed down and I need to reassess my intake.

I think it is good to increase the raw veggies. Eat those first so you have less room for other stuff.

You can always grab a bike for the 2nd workout -

I was thinking about doing two 4 mile runs today but after reading this, it might be too soon for me.

I think you would be alright with two 4's. You are more accustomed to doubles than I am.

maybe ill see what happens - need to push things at some point, right?

I hope your knee feels better as the day goes on.

I've never tried 2-a-day so no suggestions from me. May be gradually increase the miles of the second run?
