Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

Day off. 3 miles of biking with Jake but I don't know if I can really call that exercise.

AM - 8 miles on the Pipeline Trail with Jake, 8:30 pace. Best way to start the day. The roly polies were out in full force, and I almost stepped on a baby tarantula!

Hiked the Pfeifferhorn. It's such an iconic peak and nice to finally hike it (although it's much prettier looking at it from far away). Trying to get in good enough shape to stay with the rest of the JAJAK crew in Banff next week!!

AM - Wasatch Crest Trail. What an amazing trail - I can't believe we haven't run this in the entire time we've been in SLC! Had a great run. The best time to do this trail is probably in the late evening when there aren't too many mountain bikers out. We will definitely be up here running again soon. Happy to hit the 10 mile distance b/c that has always been my favorite length to run.
