| | Ran another mile today on the treadmill to test the waters. I ran more during the mile today then I did yesterday it felt better. I have a lot of tightness in my right glute still which is keeping me from running all out at the moment, hoping to continue to work through it this week.

| | WARNING: this is a "woe is me" post. I ran a mile tonight and still have pain. The frustrating thing is that I don't feel anything until I start running. At least I can do my day to day activities pain free but can't run pain free. It took me a little over a year to get to where I was before getting hurt. After 13 months and 70 lbs later I'm sidelined by an injury. I'm not sure when I will be able to run pain free but I'm going into my fourth week feeling depressed and pessimistic. Sorry to be a downer. Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow but at this moment I'm doing everything in my power not to make a huge pan of brownies and eat it all in one sitting. |

| | Every time I've tried running the pain is less and less, today it was almost completely gone. And I was back to my normal stride. AP 7:50

| | More improvement today. I was only going to do 3 miles but I felt good so I added a mile. AP 7:37 picked up the last mile to 6:58. I was going to run every other day this week, except I think I'll run tomorrow and take Friday off. It's my birthday tomorrow and instead of running 28 miles, a mile for every year I've been alive, I'll do 28 minutes.

| | Nothing lets you know your fitness is down by pushing your kids in the stroller I was feeling pretty winded. Tough run this morning in the wind.
Quick 2.1 mile run in the evening, I didn't have much time and I ended up racing the wind. Just keeping my mileage low.

| | I did my first workout today since the injury. I wanted to keep it controlled just so I can see how my sciatic will react. I did a 3 mile tempo after a 1.3 mile warm up. Ended with a two mile cool down. 6:44, 6:35, 6:40. I can tell my fitness is down but that's to be expected. Happy with how it felt, sciatic didn't flare up during the run.

| | I did an interval workout this morning 8x400 with 90 sec. jog in between. Splits 85, 85, 86, 84, 85, 84, 84, 84. I was happy I was consistent. I wasn't sure how fast I should do them but that was about right.
