AM: 10 minutes bike at PT and 15 minutes supervised walking. I am having a lot of funky low back crap. PT thinks my pelvis is being pulled off kilter by my wicked tight hip flexors. Aoki said he was very agressive with the capsular repair (tightening of hip stabalizers after dislocating my hip during surgery), but I am starting to think he went a little too tight! So so tight!

PM: Skipped the evening bike and did a restorative yoga sesh instead then evening PT, scalding hot bath, and more tiger balm.

Eeeek! My PT told me almost exactly the same about my tight hip flexor pulling the SI joint out. It sounds like your recovery is going pretty well. Good luck stretching it out!

Granted my hip flexor is pretty tight on the SI problematic side, I still find it a lousy explanation of why my back is so jacked. I always worry that there is something else wrong. How has your SI been?

My SI does well for a few weeks, even a month and then it will start giving me problems. Each time, PT says it's the hip flexors and it takes another few visits to keep SI in place and for hip flexors to calm down. I am getting better at anticipating the flares but it's still frustrating. Lower back is where I hurt when my SI is out-usually the first indication. I hope you feel better!
