3pm- we went over to the mountain over by the freeway and coral canyon. 3x Downhill repeats. Man I wish we could do these everyday cuz they were so fun. All we did was work on running fast and with good form down a big hill in preperation for footlocker west.

| | 8am- We went to the course and played some frizbiz and waited forever to check in. I was quite dissapointed the shirt were bright pink so not really something I will want to wear. After we got all the stuff wwe ran the course and the giant hills made me kind of nervous cuz I couldnt really imagine trying to race up them. I went through kind of a race plan for tomorrow and hopefully I am prepared

Footlocker West (3.107 Miles) 00:18:10, Place overall: 27 | | 7:45am- Footlocker West- Freshman Boys
Last night I really tried to prepare myself physically and mentally and I felt pretty good before the race warming up and stuff. Yeah so me and the crew went and warmed up and got over to the start line and did some striders and such. So the race started good and I got out in front with the top group. On the little downhill around the turn I opened it up a bit and took the lead for like 50 meters but that got me nervous. Anyways hopefully someone was taking pictures right then. The first mile split was 504 and I was feeling good but then we hit the switch backs and I lost my focus. A gap opened up and I didnt go with them. I definitly should have shown more guts right then. Lots of guys passed me and when I finally got to the top of that first hill I was already out of position. I regain a bit of ground on the down hill passing up some guys but then the second hill I lost it again. My plan was to make a move going down the the base of reservour hill but my legs were so on fire and the leaders were gone I had nobody to make a move on. Nobody passed me up reservour hill. At like 1k left I picked it up and just tried to make the most of the rest of the race. Not much people to pass but I had a decent kick and ended up with a 18:10. I think I blew it on that first hill, I should have stayed on that front pack because letting them get away like that left me no chance to do what I wanted. Macen had a good race I think for being sick and just barely missed out on a medal. 27th was not the place I should have been in and it was actually quite dissapointing. Really fun race to finish of the season though. I think I lost my edge towards the end of the season so now its time to refocus and get ready to kill it in track, eye of the tiger. Peace world

| | 9am- I sprained my ankle last week and was unable to walk for multiple days. That is why you only play basketball in the off season. Today it was good enough to run on so I ran 20 minutes on the treadmill but it hurt like heck. Then I did a hardcore workout. For the first day back from the break I felt really sucky and out of shape and my knees hurt

| | 9:30am- I tried to put on my trail running shoes without untying them and my ankle exploded with pain so I just put different shoes on cuz I wasnt going to untie them. THen I ran throughout the wilderness and my various joints hurt. But it was still great.
