I'm a graduate from Pine View, where I was a member of the XC and Track and Field teams.  I loved being a Panther.  I am currently up at USU, graduating in Psychology in the Spring. Not sure what I'll do after graduation...I love spending time outside-hiking, camping, and running.  I love the simple things that make life wonderful :)

man today was kinda discouraging but I'm not sure there was much I could do about it. my breathing is very limited (thanks to my stupid sickness) so going a faster pace kinda took me into this hyperventilating mode where I wasn't really breathing deeply. Not good to run that way. So I was focusing alot on breathing rather than form or something else...didn't do very well on the 6 min test. Hopefully I recover quickly and get back to running solid. Being sick is not fun..at all. The discouraging thing about it is that I thought and feel like I have been training really well so I should be ready to do better than when I started...also, I probs need to build some self confidence that's another thing in and of itself. Haha Did 3xhill circuits felt pretty alright but breathing was still kinda hard. Had to cut minutes short cause of piano..ran back with swag Jess that was a good time she needs to get feeling better so I can run with her ALL the time

well, today was a pretty solid day for me. I was kinda wishy washy at the beginning trying to decide how many minutes to go...but I decided to suck it up and go the full minutes. At 20 min literally everyone but 4 of us flipped..that shrunk the group like crazy :( kinda sad. but I had a good run with Sylvia Jenna and Alli brown. Running up the hills were hard at the end but, I made it thankfully haha :)

well, longest run in months!! started out and we were running decently fast (turns out that was about our easy tempo pace haha) had 3x4 min at easy tempo 10 min at tempo and 5 min at thresh.. I took the easy tempo a little too hard and totally hit a wall mid tempo. haha it was really hard to finish up 2450 but I made it!!! I definitely gave my best effort today. It was awesome to get 9 miles in :) hadn't done that in a long time. Super happy with today's run (although I just about died haha)

well, today was very hard.  i went 5 miles most of it with jess.  i honestly feel like i am getting back into shape again (for like the hundreth time this season) my legs were super ache and tight.  but i was happy to run.  only had cough attacks like 3 times so that was pretty good haha.  hopefully ill be able to build up some endurance and strength and get back to running solid again.  also, hopefully swag jess gets on the mend.  she is pretty sick too.. the flu should not be a thing.

perfect weather and day for a trail run.  such a fun run!  went on the turtle road but mostly just adventuring in the desert.  felt really strong :) very good run

Well, my runs keep getting longer and longer as the week has progressed :) we decided to do the workout today and I am so so glad.  we had 12x400 at cv pace.  the future was looking really solid!  practically everytime we were right on.  that was pretty awesome!  I wasnt quite sure if id do them all.  I was getting some killer side aches and coughing a bit, but i decided you have done freaking 8 already why not just finish it haha.  it was definently a good decision.  i am finally feeling strong and fast again.  form kept me going.  so happy with this workout definetly a success.  kinda died on the cool down...but i got all my minutes in!!  so yay :)

am-didnt go because of my sickness and running in the cold might not help.

pm-super great run!!! loved loved it. It was hard but I felt so accomplished after. Legs are really tired but that means I had a good week. That makes me happy. Honestly didn't talk a super lot today. It was kinda nice to just be able to think. Also hill circuts are definitely making me stronger and I love that.

went with Alli and my dad earlier than the team run cause we were gonna go to our cousins house...but not anymore cause of the weather :( so bummed cause I love the hurricane rim trail. It's definitely a favorite. Anyways super weird but my shoulder has been kinda bugging me for a while and in Saturday it was excruciating. So I actually went to the doc. Still bugging quite a bit. Something's wrong with my rotator cuff. Went running today legs felt soooo wonderful but my shoulder did hurt. I couldn't really swing my arm so it kinda chilled and my other arm just was moving haha. Hopefully it gets better. I hate all these weird injuries I keep having.

am-well I'm banned from weights...but I did run! can't really move my arm still :( if I swing my arm then shooting pain goes down my arm..

pm-into green springs mainly by myself cause the group got kinda split up..arm is still bugging quite a bit. It's the weirdest thing ever.

am-man I felt so good! it was a very good run.

pm-workout 4x400 and then an 800 repeated two times with equal recovery. so so good :) the future is bright haha. We had some killer packing and it was so fun :) we were hitting our paces and all sorts of positive vibes. I never really realized how important a positive attitude is I mean I do but not to this extreme. I was totally positive about everything and it totally changed the outcome for me. I wasn't dwelling on pain or anything just having a good time and helping my teammates be successful. It was so good. A positive attitude is definitely always the way to go.

well, no body seemed to want to run together so i kinda spaced planning one.  shoulda planned one anyways.  but, i went with my dad and he did the first 60.  totally spaced tempo stuff so the last 15 i really pushed it in strong.  it honestly felt so super amazing.  a perfect way to end the run.  but i did forget to charge my watch so that was a bummer cause i didnt really know pace..maybe that was a good thing idk.  im feeling super good though!!!

am-holy cow today was a major mental battle. we had 60 min and we ran into Washington area and looped kinda by Holt's house. I was feeling pretty good and then kinda just freaked myself out. I kept hyperventilating and stressing. My breathing kept getting quick and I was just freaking out. But I totally battled and was able to chill out. It was super hard. Even though it was just an easy run. Totally a victory today very grateful to Have been able to push through that.

pm-i was super tired this afternoon and I had to go to the bathroom the whole time so that was rough. Also had to hurry back and get to pt for my shoulder. It is actually doing a lot better! so yay. I should be able to lift weights in a week or so. I miss lifting :( overall good day

am-weights and short run had a killer side ache

pm-regular run and hill circuts. Once again had that side ache for the majority of the run. Hill circuts seemed to help work it out of my system but it was just a hard run that wasn't supposed to be hard..haha went a little over on time. but I think it's fine. super drained after the ACT also everyone should be ready for some "mandatory fun" hah

am-easy run. side was killing again! So so weird...but I was glad to run.

pm-finally the side ache was gone! very relieved. the pace was quick today but it felt pretty good. It's crazy that just about 8 min pace is our easy runs. We've definitely come a long way. That makes me happy. Also, we hit the good old sanbergs that brought back some fond memories
