| | Well, participated in the death run today ;) longest run in forever!!!! I felt soooo good! legs are feeling good :) ready for more running so much fun to be with the team again 30 min |
| | 6min test today!!! kinda just went into it not really know what was gonna happen ;) started and kinda got in the middle of two groups by the first lap. Pushed with ry and was trying to get ell. She really helped me keep pushing. It was a good place to gauge what type of shape I'm in. | | lol not sure on mileage...my watch was taking forever. my legs were really ache and sore. I havent ran hard in forever so yesterday was definently felt in the legs. nothing in paticular hurt just kinda an overall soreness. I was gonna go with alli (and my mom on a bike) but they were really bothering me so i went by myself haha ;) it honestly was so nice to just go run. i went at like 5:30. the weather was perfect and it just was a wonderful time to think. one of my fav runs. a nice recharge after a hard week. more excited for running then i have been in a long time.

| | not really sure on milage again 😂 haha but this was the very very best run in forever!!! the weather was a little chilly but I honestly enjoyed it. We went up turkey farm and it was a pretty strong hill!!! yay those are gonna be a strength for me. I was only allowed to go 35. Robs, sylvia, and Bentley all ran back with me. It was fun. | | good good run today! dino tracks. ran 35 in 4 miles which is pretty good considering its a trail. dropped a 7:30 for my last mile. it was nice to fly down the hills. kinda wish that i went the 40 not really sure why i didnt haha. running is feeling pretty darn good

| | not sure on milage but very solid run. I love doing the sprint warm ups. They help me feel ready to run. Also I think they are really gonna help me be able to run fast. So yay :) run was good!!! had to go shorter cause of piano ;( but I was ready to go the full minutes. worked on some killer form on the way back and picked up the pace quite a bit. |
| | well, today was pretty solid. we did 8x3 min at tempo. with 30 sec of recovery. we did it at the middle school. My first half was really strong (and I was probably a little faster than assigned pace) the last 4 were a struggle. Once it got hard I had a hard time pushing myself. On the last one Roberts reminded me to pick it up and I was able to. sometimes I feel like I "need" someone to tell me to push cause I don't trust myself or something...I don't really know 😂 something to think about and work on. 60 min. | | MOST MILEAGE IN MONTHS!!! holy crap today was a stinking battle. I decided I would go 65 min (that's 15 more than I've ever gone) my body just ached my knee on one side my it band on the other. I just felt really tense. So stoked for Alli brown, py and Jenna. They are some pretty hard working freshies. They really amaze me. Jenna ran back with me. | | man today was kinda discouraging but I'm not sure there was much I could do about it. my breathing is very limited (thanks to my stupid sickness) so going a faster pace kinda took me into this hyperventilating mode where I wasn't really breathing deeply. Not good to run that way. So I was focusing alot on breathing rather than form or something else...didn't do very well on the 6 min test. Hopefully I recover quickly and get back to running solid. Being sick is not fun..at all. The discouraging thing about it is that I thought and feel like I have been training really well so I should be ready to do better than when I started...also, I probs need to build some self confidence that's another thing in and of itself. | | well, longest run in months!! started out and we were running decently fast (turns out that was about our easy tempo pace haha) had 3x4 min at easy tempo 10 min at tempo and 5 min at thresh.. I took the easy tempo a little too hard and totally hit a wall mid tempo. haha it was really hard to finish up 2450 but I made it!!! I definitely gave my best effort today. It was awesome to get 9 miles in :) hadn't done that in a long time. Super happy with today's run (although I just about died haha) 75 min also so happy!!!! | | well, today was very hard. i went 5 miles most of it with jess. i honestly feel like i am getting back into shape again (for like the hundreth time this season) my legs were super ache and tight. but i was happy to run. only had cough attacks like 3 times so that was pretty good haha. hopefully ill be able to build up some endurance and strength and get back to running solid again. also, hopefully swag jess gets on the mend. she is pretty sick too.. the flu should not be a thing.

| | Well, my runs keep getting longer and longer as the week has progressed :) we decided to do the workout today and I am so so glad. we had 12x400 at cv pace. the future was looking really solid! practically everytime we were right on. that was pretty awesome! I wasnt quite sure if id do them all. I was getting some killer side aches and coughing a bit, but i decided you have done freaking 8 already why not just finish it haha. it was definently a good decision. i am finally feeling strong and fast again. form kept me going. so happy with this workout definetly a success. kinda died on the cool down...but i got all my minutes in!! so yay :)

It's definitely a favorite. Anyways super weird but my shoulder has been kinda bugging me for a while and in Saturday it was excruciating. So I actually went to the doc. Still bugging quite a bit. | | am-man I felt so good! it was a very good run. pm-workout 4x400 and then an 800 repeated two times with equal recovery. so so good :) the future is bright haha. We had some killer packing and it was so fun :) we were hitting our paces and all sorts of positive vibes. I never really realized how important a positive attitude is I mean I do but not to this extreme. I was totally positive about everything and it totally changed the outcome for me. I wasn't dwelling on pain or anything just having a good time and helping my teammates be successful. It was so good. A positive attitude is definitely always the way to go. 20+60 |
| | well, no body seemed to want to run together so i kinda spaced planning one. shoulda planned one anyways. but, i went with my dad and he did the first 60. totally spaced tempo stuff so the last 15 i really pushed it in strong. it honestly felt so super amazing. a perfect way to end the run. but i did forget to charge my watch so that was a bummer cause i didnt really know pace..maybe that was a good thing idk. im feeling super good though!!!

| | am-holy cow today was a major mental battle. we had 60 min and we ran into Washington area and looped kinda by Holt's house. I was feeling pretty good and then kinda just freaked myself out. I kept hyperventilating and stressing. My breathing kept getting quick and I was just freaking out. But I totally battled and was able to chill out. It was super hard. Even though it was just an easy run. Totally a victory today very grateful to Have been able to push through that. pm-i was super tired this afternoon and I had to go to the bathroom the whole time so that was rough. Also had to hurry back and get to pt for my shoulder. It is actually doing a lot better! so yay. I should be able to lift weights in a week or so. I miss lifting :( overall good day 60+25 |

| | haha not real sure with miles but today was good! it makes me so so excited and very happy that I can show up to a Saturday run and find 4 freshman waiting to run. they are fabulous and tons of fun. we had a group of me, Jess, allix2, Jenna and py. Ran out on the Sullivan trail and looped it on the dam road. we saw lots of cute dogs and we had to stop and pet the mini horses haha :) but it was solid! we were low 8 min miles the whole time and picked it up at the end for our tempo. I ran the last bit by myself cause I wanted to hit the whole 65 min for level 3s. the weather was perfect and we kinda just relaxed and laughed the whole time. it was fun. 65 min |
| | am-very good day of running. we had 12 girls together practically the whole time! how freaking sick is that. that makes me so so so happy!!! we ran into pioneer parkway and had 2x5 min of easy tempo 2x7 min of tempo and 1x5 at threshold. the easy tempo was very hard for me cause we were running up the hills...but the second half was so so strong and I am very happy. Robs wise words of the day, "you just gotta believe and remember that you can do this" also kinda bummed cause my watch told me 10 laps so I guess I accidentally lapped it one time but I thought I ran 10 miles but I didn't but I guess it's fine. 80 min
pm-well, scary day at the school. some kid lit a bomb...so we couldnt have practice. what a bust. but, i actually really enjoyed the run by my myself. each of my miles were under 8 as i just ran some stuff out of my mind haha. it was a much needed break to truly think and ponder whats happening in my life
also, its a new day high for miles so thats very happy as well, i feel like im finally back into things becoming stronger everyday. ALSO, last day of shoulder physical therepy! i get to start lifting very very very light weights :( that is a bummer lol like no weight on squat or dead lifts...ugh haha

I tried to not let them bother me and stay positive. The warmup and tempo seemed really sluggish and it was hard to get going. On our first repeat we started slow...but I picked it up and finished right on pace. Each one had it's own little battle but every time I was in the range. I really felt good even though my legs felt so tired at the same time. I feel like I really pushed myself and my limits today. Excited for this weekend. also, highlights of the weekend, sampsons leg in the medley, alli sq in 1600, fillipa in 200 and 400, celest winning the jav, and so many other killer performances! very fun weekend!

| | am-very good run! we had a long run with the same tempos as usual. we ran towards Sullivan on the river trail. Our pack was freaking solid and we had 10ish girls pushing together. I was kinda just hanging onto the group for the first two intervals. The next one I was still attached but the 4th one I kinda struggled the first bit but kinda just snapped out of it and started pushing. I pushed with Alli, Caroline, and Gracie and ultimately I reattached to the pack. Man I was pretty proud. I don't think I've ever made a comeback like that before...I always die and don't come back haha so that was very exciting :) the last one had a strong finish again which made me happy. I finished the run strong even up the hills back to the school. Definitely a confidence booster today. pm-pretty chill run. pm-ran the 800 in the medley! also, alli sq in the 400 so proud. so anyways, our medley was madi, jadaddy, ness, then me. man it was good. i started my leg close to lastish. ended up taking 4th except kinda bummed cause a canyon view girl passed me in the last 50 meters :( haha anyways, today i just hammered it. and i dont really know what was different but something definantly was. i was not afraid to get after it or push when it hurt, let me tell ya my arms were so tense and tingling, my eyes were wigging out, but i fought. i felt like at the end i actually gave it my all. i definantly pushed out of the comfort zone today. want that feeling again. it was something ive never felt before. man today was good (didnt think to have someone time me but im pretty confident saying it was my fastest 800 ever in my life) cooled some with ness and alli

| | am-long run w/ 5min easy tempo, and 10 min at 6:40ish pace, then 5x30 sec hills. Today was good :) we had a solid group. i had a hard time getting into things but once i got into it it was very very solid. we pushed the tempos strong as well as the hills. they were a good time to focus on form.
pm-kinda annoying on these short days. i feel like everyone just thinks they can do their own thing so we all end up doing something different. me, ellie, and jacey all pushed together towards the end. looking forward to a good week :)

pm-PANTHER RELAYS! pretty chaotic but fun. i think we need more time to just chill and enjoy ourselves when racing instead of it being stressful. although it was very extremely annoying to have people skipping accross the line, or other garbage haha. ran the 800 in the distance medley, 800 in the 4x800 and 400 in the 4x400. it was all solid pushes. tried to focus on form.

pm-1600 in the wind! it was actually super solid. a season best. so i cant be super disappointed. i thought my shoe was gonna come untied the ENTIRE time so that was freaking me out haha. but, i was able to really push. i feel like when i started my kick though i totally tensed up my upper body making it worse and harder to move rather than speeding me up and helping me. so i gonna focus on being more smooth. but it was a very good step in the right direction.

I started out strong, and there was a girl from westlake that i was kinda battleing with for the first few laps. then i stuck the lead. holt really made me focus on things everytime i ran by. he made sure i was listening then hed tell me exactly what to do. i dont think i have ever responded to what he has said any better than that. also surge zones saved me haha idk why i havent been incorperating those the whole entire season! anyways, it was solid. thought my time woulda been faster but, its whatever...yet again another step in the right direction
shoutout to my beast sister for freaking breaking the school record. also my other sister ry for qualifying for state! also, my good friend claire for trying new things and totally being a stud. also dylan with a sq. man our team is full of insparation after insparation. im so grateful to be apart of something so great. also idk if ive ever had more fun.

| | am-long run. had a harder time today but i did push the tempos pretty well. i really coulda ran a little faster after haha. but it was a good run. we seemed to have a good group of girls there i kinda stuck in the back the whole time thinking about life and such haha
pm-after hearing some inspiration from my teammates jake and samson we ran in the blowing wind. man it was crazy. it was a terrible day to choose to not do a braid. anyways, it was pretty chill.

| | am-weights and run pm-hurricane jv. Ran the 1600&800. 1600 was pretty solid. We had a very tight pack that just kinda chilled together. I was trying to help the girls surge but it didn't really seem effective. I kinda took off the 3 lap but they all caught me the last lap haha. But the time was still pretty decent considering the circumstances. I really didn't try on the 800 so that kinda makes me mad cause I know I didn't try. |
| | no morning in forever pm-short run and then kids meet. it was pretty good. things seemed to go pretty smooth. it's fun to see kids run and push themselves. they are great inspiration |

| | am-long run! we had 70 with some fartleks. I started with the team at 5:30 then went to the highschool by 6:00 so that I could hang up some student council posters but it took WAAAYYYYYY longer than I thought. so that was annoying haha. anyways, I went and finished my run after which actually turned out to be pretty good! I hit some nice pickups! pm-meeting and run. the meeting was good! sparked some positive attitudes from the team :) 70+25 | |
| | am-weights and run. different loop I kinda enjoyed it! pm-workout!!! WAY good! we had 200, 400, 800, 400, 200, 200, 400, 800 (at 3200)ahah and then a 400, 200, (at 1600)then a 300(all out) Me and py led most of the time and we really hit our times way good. It was super hot but it wasn't anything that I didn't think I could do. I was super positive and I know that really helped me. Feeling fast ready to really push myself this weekend! |
| | am-this morning was a good one for me. even with tired legs and an exhausted body I had the strength to give it a little extra effort with robs and caroline pm-man it was a hot hot day. started out going down 2450 and my side was KILLING! Every step was throbbing! Once we got to the light I took a little break and it felt much better. I stuck with the group for a ways, then we started up the hill(by fossil ridge) and I started dying it was long and gradual. but, I feel like I kept digging. there were times when I didn't really push but overall it was really good! once we hit the mortuary, it was very very solid! robs even said the average pace was mid 7s it felt good. striders were wonderful and really got a lot of the crap out of my legs. a positive attitude goes a long ways. also, learned some of the beastlyness of coach robs haha | |

| | am-up turkey farm! a way hard run for me for some reason..but o also feel like it was strong. we started out and we were killing the pace. then I totally died up the hill..but I feel like I gave a decent effort. from artic circle back to the high school I was with the girls and we we're cruzin! overall solid run pm-these afternoon runs are not my favorite..I feel like everyone does there own thing haha but it was fine |
| | am-morning longerish run becasue of the kids meet after school. ran with swag jess for all of it. had some solid conversations :)
pm-least fav run of the year. haha everyone was YELLING and my head was ready to explode. so im very glad it was only 20 min
kids meet was a success although a kid nearly killed me. the finish line is a dangerous place

| | am-workout. 3x600, 3x400, 4x100, 1x300 very good packing by the future. it was a solid push and it was nice to get the legs moving. lots of girls are looking really strong.
pm-chill run. went to sanbergs. actually was a blast. i havent laughed that hard in a while. today was very extremely hot
party at kathyas and nenes. man, they make some delicious food :) fun to have some chill time with the team (sad more kids didnt come)

pm-ran around the track and then school cause a lot of people are in relays at region so they were working on handoffs. pretty chill run. feeling pretty decent about life. today was freaking HOT hottest day of ever...just kidding, but it was very extremly hot. tomorrows gonna be one boiling exciting day.

| | woke up extra early and went half an hour with my dad. then went and did 20 with the team before some yoga. it was a good run! day 2 of region! lots of good stuff! love my pv team :) also, a day full of helping it was good! |
| | Well, somehow I got roped into the Zion Ragnar relay. It was definitely an adventure haha. I ran the longest leg first at like 7 oclockish. It was actually really fun. The first few miles were up and down killer. But I actually pushed up them. I was worried I'd be competing with some intense hill runners...but the majority of people were walking haha so that was fun. The rest of it was downhill and on a small cow trail. PRan 1:15 for 7.88 so I'd say it was pretty good haha Also, once I hit the top it was probably the most majestic view I have ever seen in my whole life. The sun was setting on Zion and man, I was lucky. Definitely worth all the freaking hard hills.. |
| | did my second leg with Ellie at like 1 it was not super fun haha it was like a major sand hill for like 1 mile..but once we got to the top it was a very nice run. Ragnar is fine but I was so bummed cause I didn't get to see any view or anything...rather just run it in the day. About 4.5 for my second leg LAST LEG! my legs were so wasted haha it was really hard to get going. It was short (3.1) but it seemed like it took forever. |
| | am-well, we did a 15 min warm up then a 1600 race kinda thing with gracie, jenna, py, and allison. logan, alex, and evan tried to pace us per lap. and then the rest of the girls switched every 200. i was feeling pretty strong the first two laps but died. i am mentally exhausted and physically. i definantly felt the hills and trail running in my legs the last lap. but it wasnt a super great time. idk i really didnt push one bit when it hurt...and it drives me crazy cause i really dont know how to get myself to push when the pain comes. i realllllllllllly need to learn how though cause i do want to be fast.
pm-very hot day. alright run. everyone seemed exhausted and it wasnt filled with much excitement. talked to robs and holt. and kinda decided that i need to start my break and get rested and really excited for xc :)
this track season has definantly been the most memorable. i feel like our team energy has never been greater. i saw people push, run with their hearts, and lead by example. i made some of the greatest, unexpected friends. i have learned so much. i have become a better athlete, student, and person. i think that is whats most important. im very grateful for the teammates that i have had who have been leaders and truly impacted and changed my life. im so sad to see so many seniors go...im not really sure if im completely ready to fill the role that a senior has. high school is flying by. and ive never had so much fun or made so many simple memories-like screaming for my sis as she state qualified, break records, etc., watch sampson kill the last leg of the 4x4, see the discus soar out of nicks hand, see alex make bold moves, watch jada run with her heart, see the smile of claire as she cleared the high jump, watch the courage of jake as he cleared the hurdles time and time again, and so much more. our team is full of insparation and encouragement. i am so grateful that i have been able to be a part of something greater than myself. pv track 2018 has had something special and will always hold a special place in my heart. no i didnt hit a pr, sq, or really hit any goals as a ¨runner¨ but, as a person and a teammate i feel like we all were a part of something truly amazing. i do love running and pine view so so much. heres to new adventures-bigger and better things

| | SAND HILL!!! what a beast haha. actually really good though. I really pushed myself (especially the downhill) it was good. Definitely gained some confidence. Man I'm excited for this season. I think we are heading in a very positive direction which honestly makes me beyond happy. |

Region 9 Championship (3 Miles) 00:19:43 | | I don't know why but I felt like I should start blogging again even though the season is nearly over... am-nice morning perfect weather pm-last region cross ever! ahh that honestly kinda breaks my heart. did a good job warming up. I was really pumped to race. got put pretty strong and was pushing with py. Gracie wasn't too far ahead of us but I never had the guts to go get her. Sylvia was pretty close as well for the majority of the race. I wish I attached to the pack cause that really would have helped me. It wasn't a terrible race. I just know that there's more in me and I didn't push as hard as I should have. I should've given it more but there's nothing I can do now. I love cross country and I love running |
