Much Much needed rest.  The leg was sore and tired for over 30 miles for the week.

Did 6.11 miles today at a 8:30 overall pace in 51:59.   I felt warm at 39 degrees.  I think my body is adjusting to the cold weather again.  The leg did pretty good today didn't feel like I struggled on the last mile where it gets sore.   Splits: (9:12, 8:29, 8:27, 8:19, 8:23, 8:13).  Maybe my light weight at 127 pounds is better for the pounding outside.  I will have a X-ray check up on the femur at the beginning of next month.

I really struggle on knowing what's too much on the leg.  I'm trying to be careful and don't try to run anymore than three days in a row without a rest day where I go lap swimming.

I've missed everyone on the blog.  Feel free to respond to me.

Woke up this morning and the plan was to run with Bill M.  and Barry on the blog.  I wasn't expecting to run in a snowy mess, but when you run with friends it doesn't matter. We sloshed through the snow and 30mph winds talking the whole time, and it went really fast.  We did 6 miles at a "who cares pace"... and we were all soaked.  We all three talked at my house for a while and I really enjoyed the fellowship.  I wouldn't call me a runner yet, but a person that wants to be healthy.

It was fun catching up with Bill and talking with him.  He's a great runner and a great friend and a very determined successful individual.  My biggest fear was falling but both of them kept me safe.

Well the weather was beautiful so I decided to run outside today, because tomorrow suppose to be bad and snow again.  I really didn't want to put my leg on the pounding streets again for the third day in a row, but I did rather than using the Elliptical/ARC Trainer at the gym.

At times the leg was sore and tough, but I never really felt fatigue.  There's soreness and pain when I run, but I endure it because the pain is not as bad as scaitic nerve or Achillies Tendonitis pain.  I've had this in the past and it's so painful to run on.  I know the quads weak so I should experience general soreness.      I went over two overpasses to get some uphill and downhill and that went ok.

I actually did a mile below 8 minutes and it really didn't feel like a stress.

Splits

9:06, 8:49, 8:33, 8:19 8:15, 7:46

Still not a runner just a humble person glad to be alive.

First time running all the way up SatterField hill since my accident and I did it with my buddy Barry. We took it easy going up because my leg was sore.  It loosened up a bit so we pushed the pace a little downhill.  Well the pace we pushed is what my body/leg will allow me to handle without the recovery leg being in pain. We did 6.15 miles at a 8:22 pace.
splits: 9:36,9:02,9:37,7:57, 7:42, and 7:26. Barry kick it in gear at the end and blow me away.

I only have one gear SLOW SLOW and pathetic.

Did the Arc Trainer for 1:02 on the hill interval program.  I didn't push real hard because I was trying to give my titanium bionic leg a break.  Four days in a row running outside for 6 miles made me realize I have to be careful in my recovery and give my leg at least two days off from running outside.  Just wanted a good aerobic workout.

Then I did 40 minutes of lap swimming with freestyle and some breaststroke.  Good long workout.  Weight  125 pounds this morning.

Ran 7.30 miles today and felt pretty good.  The leg was sore but I did okay.  This is my fastest average so far and it felt nice and fun.   I ran the first mile and a half with Dallyce.  She turned around and went back home, because she only wanted to do 3 miles.

Split:
8:57
8:08
8:03
8:03
8:15
8:15
8:15

Then we headed to Rigby Idaho to watch my daughter in the 12U volleyballs games.
